Archontiko Theodora Makrinitsa Pelion — Hotel in Volos Municipality

Before writing my review I want to explain an important point; it's one thing to be a cheap and competitive hotel and it's totally another to be dirty and degrading for your guests. ||With that in mind I really don't know where to begin with our 3 nights stay. I will start with the fact that the room was full of moisture especially in the bathroom and on the top sheets of the canopy bed. There was dust everywhere and a lot of stains on the bed curtains and other doilies around the room creating a strong feeling that everything is dirty. On the ground floor where our room was located the dividing "wall" with the room next door was a simple plasterboard; as you can understand you could hear everything. To add to the noise level you have to take into account the bar/ cafeteria on the premises of the hotel that had music from 9:00 in the morning till around 12:00 in the evening, depending if they had customers or not. ||For the fellow travelers I have included pictures in my review to prove most of my points. The problem was with the cleanliness. The floor was full of dust. Especially the floor under the bed was very dirty. It was like they don't mop it at all. In addition, there was not enough space in the room and no one hanger for our staff. The most important problem for me was with the heater as when we arrived at the mansion it was not in operation. The room it was so cold that even after a day there we couldn't be warm and cosy. When the lights at the bathroom was on a weird sound came out. The duvet was completely dirty and disgusting to cover you. When we try to reach out at the mansion and we did not get there due to the snow, call the receptionist and we do not get any help from him. Absolutely...

Located in the middle of the village, offers a good view to the city of volos. Cosy, small rooms, clean and quite. The breakfast is simple but more than enough, fresh and tasty (all kinds of coffee are in the price, no extra charge). The owners and the staff are very polite. The only warning i would give to the travellers is on hot weather (quite seldom for the area). There are no airconditoning system, but we faced temps up to the 43c. It is highly unlikely and very seldom to meet these environmental conditions up there.
