Cavo Mare Villas — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

We stayed at Cavo Mare in June and returned in October. This really is a dream of a place. It is next door to the uber exclusive Porto Zante hotel but this place really matches its neighbour at a fraction of the cost. If you want to get up at 5am to grab a sunbed then this place is not for you. If you want to have karaoke blasting at night ( no criticism as I have enjoyed that experience in the past) then it’s not for you. If you want a relaxing experience watching sail boats pass by from your day bed or pool , in peace, then book this place. We stayed in Amare La Vita ( a one bedroom with a stunning pool and high end outdoor seating and comfy interiors ). For couples this is a beautifully private villa and we loved the escape from our hectic jobs. However its location is not its only plus, Cavo Mare ( Amare La Vita is part of this exclusive villa collection) is managed by Lenia a true “Ms Fixit”. She is welcoming, knowledgeable and discreet. She can arrange anything for you. We had a lovely meal delivered by a local restaurant. The food and wine were delicious. It was so nice to have this kind of service available. She can arrange massage treatments, day trips, boats trips, winery tours..the whole caboodle. There is a “floating breakfast” a neighbouring villa ordered which was apparently fabulous so that is a next time for me Also a shout out to Ansar on housekeeping and Vasilios on maintenance. Where to start?! 11/10 - a quiet tranquil corner of Zakynthos heaven with stunning sunrise and sunset views! Lenia, the host, is amazing. I have never met a more genuinely lovely, helpful and responsive host. Always at the end of message, no message is ever a message to far. Someone I always intend to keep in touch with 🥰 I travelled with my Mom, whose 60-something birthday it was whilst we were there, my 4 year old daughter and a good friend the same age as me (mid-40's). Lenia helped me to book a private chef service for my Mom's birthday and then recommended a fabulous family run restaurant (Stis-Mandy's) for the following night. The villa is stunning inside and out. The external lay-out is well planned, with a jacuzzi plus a swimming pool. The comfiest sunbeds we have ever had at a rental property. Ansar, the housekeeper who comes daily (!), is quiet and efficient at his work. Only towards the end did we accept it was okay to leave all the washing up for him to do the following day! We booked via Leaderstay on Vrbo and Stelios was an efficient contact who ensured a smooth booking process. Lenia also helped arrange a private minibus transfer from the airport and it was truly the best way to arrive and leave. Lenia also liaised to help get our hire car delivered to the villa. Me and my girlfriend stayed here together with my parents (different property) for a week. We had the Amare La Vita villa. For two persons this was a great one. Enough space, nice bed, a bubble bath inside and good shower.

The nicest part about the villa is the swimming pool, which is in the sun all day long. This causes it to heat up to a very comfortable temperature. It's also quite a big pool.

We were welcomed on the day of arrival by Lenia and she explained all about the villa. Everything is properly disinfected during the whole COVID crisis. There is the possibility to book a few different things/events such as horseback riding in the sea or a nice breakfast in the pool.

Afterwards we got a WhatsApp from Lenia in which she explained that they also offered massages. We got the Hawaiian one which was provided by her as well. It was extremely relaxing and she used oils that were homemade and didn't contain any parabens.

Definitely recommend this property to couples, there are also bigger villas that support complete families such as villa Romi.
