Demaras Restaurant is a true gem in Zakynthos! Panagiotis and Julie are absolutely amazing hosts who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food was simply outstanding , fresh, flavorful, and by far the best we had on the island. We were really craving good, authentic food, and they truly stood out among the many tourist traps around. We loved it so much that we visited three times during our stay! Our kids also ate really well here, which says a lot about the quality and care that goes into their dishes. Everything is done with attention to detail, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the respect they show to their customers makes the whole experience special. Sadly this place doesn’t seem to actually want customers. Tried 3 times to eat there during its advertised opening hours / days. 1st try- event on so not taking extra customers. 2nd try- went at lunchtime but then told they don’t open til 6. 3rd try- went back at 6pm, yes I know that’s early for Greece but a storm was forecast for later and told they don’t open til 7.
