We stayed at Krinas apart this July, for one week - happy we didn’t have to stay longer. ||||THE HOTEL: ||- small and cozy hotel with a nice pool area. The kids pool is very deep for the smallest kids, probably 70 cm deep water. ||- overpopulated by cats and kittens. Everywhere stinks of cat poo and pee. There’s even an entire room (previously room for hotel guests) that is now being used as a room for the cats. The room is just next to the pool and reeks of a litter box. Disgusting. ||- cats not very friendly, as other guests and my self were scratched and bitten. When telling katarina, the receptionist, no apology given - just being told that: “we were told not to touch that specific cat”. Can’t really tell 30 cats apart, and other guests were scratched by different cats than we were. ||- the hotel could used a renovation, as it is very worn down. ||||THE SERVICE: ||- after complaining about the cats, the receptionist would no longer talk to us. ||- bar service is great, so much caring for our son as well. Miriam was just amazing and caring. Thank you. ||||THE ROOM: ||||- the rooms are fine, nothing nice about them but ok. The beds were so bumpy, that there was a “mountain” in the middle. You could literally feel the springs, not to forget hear them. Every time we moved the bed would squeak loudly. ||- kitchenette basic. But falling apart. ||- we had the nice view of a wall, from the balcony in ground level, where everybody would walk past, so no privacy. We were told we could put our table on the other side (the hallway) where there was a view, but nevertheless still no privacy, because the other guest would have to walk past us. ||- we were put in a room, on a hallway of 3 rooms. 1 for us, next to us, was where the staff would “sleep” and were very loud in the night hours. And next to that the cleaning staffs room. So a lot of traffic all the time. ||- no baby bed or high chairs available. That was a miscommunication with our travel agency though. ||||THE FOOD: ||- average but okay. Great at taking special requests for our small son. ||- restaurants only 5 minutes walk away. ||||You will have to bring everything as to; hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, sponges and so on. ||||All in all, we had a good vacation - but not due...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience staying at Hotel Krinas in Argassi. The owner of the hotel was extremely rude and aggressive. On the day of checkout, she yelled at me and started a full-blown argument simply because I had checked out “too late” — even though I was never informed of the checkout time.||To make matters worse, she lied to the booking company I used. She claimed she had tried to call me (which is completely untrue — I received no call), and even said I refused to leave the room, which is simply false. I was out driving and had no idea I had to leave the room by a certain time. She insisted she had told me, but this never happened.||Another issue: the hotel has very strict and unreasonable rules. You’re not even allowed to drink your own water by the pool — I was told off just for that — because they force you to buy everything at their bar. It felt controlling and completely unwelcoming.||Also, the room itself was extremely old and worn down. The furniture, bathroom, and overall condition felt neglected and outdated. It did not match the description or photos online at all.||The whole experience left a very bitter taste, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel if you’re looking for a peaceful and respectful holiday...
Read moreWe got a little confused about the mixed reviews as it seemed like not everyone has stayed at the same place! ||We booked from booking.com under the name Villa Krina Studios but the reviews under Apartments name seem to match.||||We paid 370€ in mid season in July including hot english style breakfast for one week for two persons and considered the value for money very good! ||||Room was spaceous and clean with a small balcony perfect for two. Shower worked, there was hot water and the bathroom was clean. We got an extra matress on bathroom floor when we considered it becoming slippery when wet. Downstairs bar and pool were clean and cozy and the staff was helpful. We loved the hot breakfast and the small supermarket at the hotel provided us extra drinks, sweets, fruit and veggies. Beach and main road just a walk away yet hotel up on the road with more quiet surroundings.||||Only minus for not being able to pay the stay with a credit card so upon check in we already gave...
