Wasted potential.. We had a premium roo here for 15 days and while the room looked quite nice we had some issues with the hotel. .Pool by our room/big pool: The pool was green at the sides but the water was blue so at first we let it slide but then near the end the water was just green MULTIPLE passerby noticed our pool was green while the other was blue yet nobody from the staff who also passed our pool noticed, after a compaint (8pm) the maintenance came to put chlorine in the pool at 10.30 pm … quite late an the smell is realy bad. A few nights in the pool started to making a weird noise like unclogging the toilet or draining you’re bathtub, the first night we slept realy bad and when we woke up the people staying above is already got the maintenance man and told him about the noise. It stopped for a bit but then it came back and we made a complaint at the reception, the sound would just come and go and after our 3th complaint they called us in our room that the maintenace man could not fix it he just toggled the switch of so that we could sleep and we had to wait for the specialists but if they just told us that we did not have to compain every time. The big pool was a bit cleaner but still not how it should be the sides where also dirty and we saw the maid pour water out of a random bottle in the pool you never know what people put in that bottle. Cleaning: At the enterance there is a sign that states its a very clean place and that is sadly just a big joke! Honestly they do have a clever system to let the maids know when to clean just with the press of a button but that is where the good news ends, most of the time we let them clean every other day but all the maids did was put new towels in the room made our bed and a quick and sloppe mop on the floor. The floor was still dirty and hairs also laying on the ground. One day we “timed” the cleaning, we where laying by the big pool and my fiancee needed to go to the bathroom and we use the one in our room. At that point the maid was the floor above us, 20 min later i needed to go and the maid was in the room next to ur our room was already “done”… in barely 20 min she finished the room above us, our room and was “cleaning” in the next room and that is just impossible! One morning we ate breakfast outside and saw the maid “mop” the whole floor from the bar and the back of the pool between the sunbeds and she did not rinse out the mop once .. all she did is replace some dirt not all of it some was still underneath the chairs and tables realy disgusting! Service/complaints: After a few days we read reviews from the hotel and we had similarities, so we figured that after others they still did not fix it we went to TUI and made a complaint there and she told us she had recieved multiple complains from the exact same things. After that the room was cleaned better. When we wanted to check out we just poured it all out and the owner was just straight in denial and made excuses for everything! Like the 20 min “cleaning” she told us: sorry i don’t believe that! The maid probably put towels in the other room and only cleaned you’re room. What a joke we saw it was dirty so its just straight up BS! Then she wonderd why we did not make al the complaints earlier and that was quite simple because they don’t listen and another room only got rid of one problem and that was the rusty showerhead and that is just basic knowledge .. She also said there are not many compaints and she people return often yet the funny thing is in the max. 3h we waited in the lobby for our transfer 5 people made complaints and just got the answer to stick up with it! No point in complaining then .. While the hotel has great potential the owner needs to get herr head out of the clouds and stop being in denial! She said she treats this place as home yet i wonder if she showers under a rusty showerhead 🤷‍♂️

This was our 7th visit to Katerina Palace & still just as good. We visited before they had a refurbishment and still really rated it & kept returning. We've stayed in the studios 5 times & the hotel twice. The most recent stay was in the hotel. Our room was simply stunning. It's was very modern & clean. We had 2 balconies in our room, one that overlooked the main pool & the other looked over the smaller pool. We chose the hotel this year as we were celebrating our anniversary ❤️ My partner emailed them before our arrival to ask for a pool view room as we are celebrating and we was stunned to find they had decorated the room for us and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We were so grateful for this 🥰 We only used the top pool & the beds were comfy. The floor is very slippy, and we did see someone fall over, and they weren't running. So I'd advise wearing shoes when walking around the pool. If you don't go down early, then you will struggle to get a bed as people do reserve them even though there are signs telling you not to. We witnessed one lady reserving a bed, and she used it for 20 minutes in 6 hours. The bottom pool could do with upgrading to the same standard as the other one as it did look all black around the edges, etc. The maid service was every day & towels changed every 2 days. However, if you don't want room service, there is a button on the wall in your room to click & they won't enter. Breakfast was included, and there was a massive selection of stuff. Basically, it's the same as all european breakfasts. The aircon & safe are free if you're in the hotel, which is a bonus as there is no added cost for this, like the apartments. However you do have to pay city tax which in the hotel was €7 per night. Last year, it was only €3!! All the staff here are amazing & friendly. We had to check out at 10am but our bus wasn't due to pick us up until 16:30. They have a luggage room to store your case in & if you ask a few days before departure they will let you use a room to have a shower at a time to suit you so you can travel clean. Perfect location with 2 entrances both leading to different parts of Argassi. With lots of bars/restaurants to choose from. There is free parking at the hotel but it is limited.

Overall impressions were good. Hotel rooms were modern and clean although cramped when pull out sofa made up for third person. Reception area clean and staff friendly. Breakfast fine although very repetitive and coffee had a odd salty taste almost impossible to enjoy certainly a very low cost option used. Staff here worked really hard every morning. Bar staff were very good hard working and friendly. The pool area is a health hazard and should not be allowed to be opened with small children swimming in them everyday. On one occasion the bottom pool was unused for a whole day due to scum in the water. The TUI rep did her best to rectify this but we heard the hotel management say it's safe when it clearly was not. We assume this was the lady owner who was around fairly often but did very little to rectify any complaints just seemed to move the odd empty cup once in a while. We did not use the pool for the rest of the holiday. The hotel seems to be more on image portraying a modern and upmarket place but fails in basic hygiene standards for guests. If we were to travel as a couple or with teenage children the hotel would of been a ok stay but with young children it was a huge disappointment especially being given a ground floor room next to the bar/pool area and having to listen to loud music until 12pm nightly, waking up to people eating breakfast immediately outside your room and opening your door opposite the hotels main toilet block. We did complain but got offered no other options.Would not recommend this hotel it's all style over substance. The resort of argassi is excellent, lots of choices to eat, good excursions and a very friendly resort.

Well, where do I start. On entering the block we were designated there was the wonderful aroma of petrol and diesel fumes rising from the water treatment works which was housed in the basement of the block, which meant we were unable to sit on our balcony for any length of time due to the fumes, bearing in mind we were on the 3rd floor, then we had the lovely aroma of drains sweeping through the room every day.Delightful.|Fridge was more like an oven,no shower gel, took our own anyway, just as well.|Signs around pool saying do not put towels on beds unless you're lying there, waste of time ,because the sad sacks were there every morning at 6am and nothing was done about it.You make me sick you sad people. Sunbeds around lower pool were barely usable due to defects and once you got on you could barely get off because you were at ground level, heaps of scrap.|Never known a hotel breakfast area where you have to clear your own tables and in most cases clean the table before you dined.|Breakfast selection possibly the worst we've ever known, worse than any budget brands. Not an apple, orange or banana to be had, waitress had a face like thunder, pleased we only ate there once.|4* definitely not,not even an average 2*.Would never return or recommend, unless it was somebody who i disliked.Only plus was location. |This hotel is ran on the tightest of budgets and it's plain to see.|Toilets around pool were disgusting and stinking, no hand towels .|External areas very unkempt and in dire need of some TLC.|Reception staff are the worst I've ever had the misfortune to deal with, attitude is absolutely shocking. Maintenance put a new fridge in and left broken one in room.Best day of holiday was the day we left, never to return. And another thing,no tea, coffee, sugar or milk in the room and the cups weren't big enough for a boiled egg, more penny pinching.Something I don't want to hear from managers/owners is how sorry they are that we didn't enjoy our holiday because at the end of the day you couldn't give a toss, you cost us over £1000 for a holiday which was the worst one ever in Greece.|All staff need further training in hospitality because from what I've witnessed they have no clue in customer facing experience.|And then they left a broken fridge in the room for three days which we used as a Seat because the two seats in the room were falling to bits.|Room 333. 21--28Sept...
