Hotel Real del Río — Hotel in Lívingston

We initially stayed at this hotel but ended up switching hotels late that same evening since they lost power for several hours and had no backup generator. Without the air conditioning working, the room was impossibly hot, and the only accommodation that staff and management were (eventually) willing to make was to provide a refund only if we left right then and there.

The rooms themselves are decent, but the hotel is located on the wrong side of the bridge, creating a very long walk to the other side, with no taxis or tuc tucs available at night. This hotel is also located directly next to the highway bridge, so expect very loud traffic noises, including engine-breaking semi trucks.

For a better price & location with nearly identical amenities and much more accommodating staff and management, try Posada Del Rio on the other side...

Excellent place. Visited in January. This clerk asked if I was going to Livingston, as i said yes and he said he would make reservations for me on the boat, and the boat would pick me up at the hotel dock the next morning. And it did, I felt like I was a rich man. It took me to Livingston and it brought me back and dropped me off at the hotel dock. Like I was a rich man in the movies. Swimming pool TV air conditioning, which i did not need in january but it has it. I wish I had tipped the desk mark for being so nice but I did not see him...

El servicio es bueno y las habitaciones limpias, todo funciona bien. Una observación es que las sábanas ya denotan desgaste por el uso pero eso no genera molestias. El problema que tiene este hotel es que esta al lado del puente de Rio Dulce y hace que no sea posible dormir por el estruendo de los camiones y trailers que transitan a toda hora. De lo contrario seria una muy buena recomendación para...
