Please note this is a review for the restaurant section||||Visited this hotel for a nice lunch and the location and setting was quite nice. Unfortunately, this is the end of the good. The lady serving us was rude. Our chicken was sent out pink. When we sent it back there was no apology, however the lady did offer to cook it more for us (obviously, this was the minimum) The bill SHOULD have come to 66 quetzales, however we received a piece of paper that said 79 quetzales. When we questioned this the lady replied it was the propina (tip). Now, 10% tip at a restaurant is the going rate in Guatemala (and for this you normally get great service), so when we questioned this the lady brought out the calculator, added up the food to 66, then hit plus 13. Not sure that's how you work it out....||The food was not itemised on the bill, just the amount. This lady was extremely dishonest, the service was poor and we refused to pay the tip. We have had better food and much better service paying 40 quetzales for the same meal....
Read moreI had stayed here 10 years ago and went back because of the pool. And the price, $16 for a room with a ceiling fan. The A/C rooms were occupied. The pool area is pleasant. The restaurant menu is great with good prices, a variety of options including seafood, fish, and Chinese. The staff was accommodating. The room was very basic. No toilet seat, shower head, soap or shampoo. The bed was comfortable enough. Will I go back? Maybe. I like the in town location (but not on the main road)...

The staff was very nice - we were getting seated in the restaurant and we asked them if we could be seated in the back so we can use the pool while we wait. So we sat by the pool, all of us ordered fish and beer and it was delicious. It was also reasonably priced...
