Beautiful gardens and good swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very warm and stuffy at night probably due to rubbish burning in the locality which is all to common unfortunately. We were offered another room but the problem is a bigger issue.

Such a wonderful stay and hidden gem in Santiago. Highly recommend this spot - the pool, garden, hospitality, and location are ideal.

I stayed here when I went over to Santiago from San Juan to do the Quetzal-viewing trip with Atitlan Birding Expeditions. The guide booked the hotel for me and I did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel, despite costing only 160 quetzals (about $22) was so nice! It has a beautiful garden and even a pool. The rooms were simple but very clean. The local embroidery on the bedding was a nice touch. There was free filtered water available, the staff were friendly helpful and the property seemed very secure. I felt safe staying here as a solo woman traveler. Also, it’s right near the pier and right near plenty of places to eat. The staff recommended good restaurants that were right nearby, which was helpful, because I don’t like to walk around after dark much when I am traveling alone. Also, I got back late from the birding trip (a couple of hours after the checkout time) and they did not even charge me extra. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean, safe and convenient place to stay in...

😊: Lovely hotel in gritty, fascinating Santiago which we loved. Small kitchen that you can cook in. Clean pool and nice garden with several spots to chill out and a view from the roof. The hotel looks like it's been extended over the years and I think the new rooms are probably brighter than those on the ground floor. Our room was definitely a little dark, but it was clean and comfortable. Josefa and the women working in the hotel were all lovely.

There was lots to see and do in Santiago. Great birding and we saw a quetzal. 😢: Room...
