Hotel Posada Belén — Hotel in Sololá

We had a private bathroom, which was dirty and had no hot water (even though it was advertised to have it). The bed had insects on it and the room did not have a window to let natural light in meaning it was very dark. There is constant construction work meaning you cannot relax in the room in the evening as the noise is very loud and constant. We barely had any sleep here. The rooftop terrace does not look like the pictures, it is a construction site. We complained about the room, noise and overall cleanliness of the property and were offered no resolution. We paid for the hotel in cash upon check out- beware of this. We have been messaged by booking.com to say we owe the hotel money as we didn’t pay despite us already paying. I would...

No credit cards! First thing to note.

I wanted to like this place, and I don't expect the Ritz Carlton, but....very very bad experience here. The rooms were some of the worst I've ever stayed in. The shared bathroom had spiders and spider webs everywhere.

Above my bed was a cockroach in a spiders web. Found ants in my bed at one point.

Only plus is they have free...
