Everything about this place is five stars across the board for me. The only reason I gave it four stars for rooms is because other people may have different standards. You are on the islands and these places are slightly more rustic. This is the only place I stay in Roatan! The family that runs the place is attentive, super nice, and reason enough to stay there. But another reason to stay there is that it's one of the few places where you are actually staying on the beach (assuming you don't decide to stay in West Bay, but even still, this place is uniquely on the water). You are at the end of West End, so you can easily walk into town, but you have your own private beach and are away from the "tourist" part of town. The air conditioning runs cold and you have a fridge in your room to help combat the high restaurant prices and keep some cold drinks on hand. They have beers and water for sale in the lobby, too. The two full beds are comfortable enough, you have a patio that looks to the water. Really any one of the beach side cabins is a winner. You might want to bring your own hammock as there are many great places to hang one in the gazebos along the water. It's a bit of a swim, but you can actually swim out to the reef from the hotel! You can swim out to the area that is called El Aquario, the Blue Channel, etc. you do need to swim across the boat channel so it's best done on a slower day with no cruise ships if you can. It's fantastic. Gustavo is also a member of their team and if you get a chance you should book a water tour with him. Since they have rebuilt the dive hotel next door, you might get a little noise from the bar, Tequila Jacks, but it's minimal and ends early. And actually having that restaurant next door is kind of convenient. It's good. And you're close to Tita's Pink Seahorse for a drink, and Creole's for breakfast. There is now a beach bar on the other side, too, but they seem to have managed to the noise with them as well. If you're looking for a fancy resort, this is not the place. If you're looking for a special hotel, this is the place. All my friends that I have brought here agree hands down this is the place. :)

We just spent two weeks at Lost Paradise Inn, our second vacation stay there in two years. We can highly recommend it as a delightful, economical place to relax, enjoy the beach without crowds and yet still have easy access to everything West End has to offer. I spent time diving (one of the primary activities there), but my wife only snorkels. LPI has a large stretch of private beach with some sea walls and other water features that make it a fine place to see quite a variety of fish if you like snorkeling. There are lots of places on the grounds to sit outside, great views and great sunsets. We enjoyed eating out on the gazebo which is at the end of a walkway about 100 feet into the ocean. Each little “cabin” is a six sided building with a bathroom, fridge, microwave, table and chairs. Room service every day. Drinking water is available at the office. The grounds are attractive, clean, and just on the edge of town. Lots of great places to eat are just a short walk away. Probably the highlight for us is a place that offers a degree of privacy and being away from the crowds, yet at the same time is near everything else we want to engage with. And for what you get the price is unbeatable.

I stayed at Lost Paradise for nearly three weeks in October 2025 and had a great experience. Carlos is very communicative and helpful. Laundry and rides to and from the airport were easily arranged and included in the price. The location is excellent and easily walkable into West End or along the shore toward Luna Beach. The room itself was comfortable, had plenty of room and storage space, and was kept clean daily. I spent many sunsets relaxing on the pagoda that extends away from shore (pictured), which was just outside my front door. Highly recommend!

Funny story but I just fell upon on this place after where I had stayed for two days at another location and it was just okay but the bed was killing my back. I went cruising before I checked out to go see and find another hotel I had found online. I couldn't find it. I just happened to trip on this place and I, looking for a different hotel; I found this hotel. Tried to bargain with Santiago, the owner but it didn't work. However, he was honest and gave me to my opinion the best water cabin I could ask for the price. I only rented it for 1 day but then extended it everyday for 7 more days. Santiago would laugh at me because I wouldn't leave. I honestly fell in love with this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting something close to the water. I fell in love with the place and Santiago was amazing. He trusted me and even gave me a free beer on him on my last day. Plus, Blanca, the house cleaner, it doesn't get better. She is one of the most respectful house cleaners I have ever met. If you stay there, please tip her well. My whole stay for 8 days at this place was amazing!! Thank you Santiago!! I will stay with you again. This isn't a threat but a promise! Hope it translates as well in...
