Review of Roatan Chocolate Factory
During a short excursion on a cruise, my mom and I visited the Roatan Chocolate Factory. Initially, we were impressed—the samples they provided were absolutely delicious, and the presentation of the factory was engaging. Convinced by the quality of the samples, we decided to purchase 10 bars of chocolate for $60, expecting to enjoy the same taste at home.
However, upon returning, we were shocked and deeply disappointed to discover that every single bar of chocolate we bought was out of date. It felt like a complete rip-off, especially after spending so much money. What made it worse is that this wasn’t the only excursion where we felt taken advantage of, but this one was particularly upsetting because we were looking forward to enjoying the chocolate and sharing it with others.
I would caution anyone visiting this establishment to double-check the product dates before purchasing. While the samples and the experience might seem tempting, the quality of the products sold didn’t match what was promised. Unfortunately, this left a sour taste on what was supposed to be a...

It's in the West End, which you might already be going to anyway, so there's no excuse. The service here is above and beyond. The food and drinks are very good, especially for a walk-in.
And of course the ethical chocolate. Lots of chocolate options: many different flavors of bars, nibs to snack, cacao loose tea, and more. I'm a professional engineer in the very large scale chocolate making industry and had to take their course in chocolate making. You'll learn to make chocolate the old Mayan way and you'll come home with your own chocolate bar. Get ahold of Dani to book your class. He's super friendly, very knowledgeable, has the passion, and will go out of his way to share it. With this coarse, it is possible to go home with the ability to get into the hobby of homemade chocolate making.

Read morejust note there is 2 chocolate factorys in the westend, the other is Mayak near the big gas station I was here not on a tour, just walked in at random time, nice chocolate store, with factory upstairs on 2nd floor. -When i arrived there was a tour group leaving. the door was crowded but once past it was mostly empty inside. The lady at the counter told me the factory is upstairs. -I went upstairs, and the room is split, with a sealed box room "factory" with viewing windows, there was rows of chairs lined up outside for the tours to sit, it looks like there is a demonstration or something that happens. The other part of the room has info and chocolate samples and items to buy. There is a check out upstairs. Lots of info about chocolate production around the room on displays. -I bought a milk chocolate bar and a sea salt bar. I actually didnt like the sea salt bar much, but the milk chocolate was great.
Nice little factory, and...
