Mariposa Lodge — Hotel in Roatán

A wonderful place and great treatment. Sue and Mike are wonderful and make you feel most comfortable and just like being home. It is nice, quiet though being close to the main street, where you can find shops and head to half moon Bay to snorkel and scuba dive and discover part of the coral reef that surrounds the island. Restaurants are all along the street. The rooms are wonderful, equipped with a little kitchen. The beds are most comfortable. On the porch you have hammocks to just relax while observing the beautiful flowers that grow in the garden and that are visited by hummingbirds. Absolutely 10/10!

My 24 year old daughter and I stayed with Mike and Sue at the Mariposa Lodge for a week while diving with West End Divers. What a lovely place! Simple, clean and quiet. || Two minute walk down a dirt road to the dive shop and town. Nice little pool to dip in after a day diving. Great room with a kitchenette where we made breakfast each day. Mike and Sue were wonderful hosts with all sorts of suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I highly recommend the Mariposa Lodge - especially if diving with West End Divers, but would be great regardless of your reason for staying in West End, Roatan.

This is my second time staying at the Mariposa Lodge. It is perfect for a dive trip. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have everything you need. I really like the convenience of a having a kitchenette while I'm on vacation. It's nice to be able to wake-up and make coffee in your room and occasionally cook some simple meals. It is steps away from the water and some of the best dive shops on the island. Mike and Sue who run the Marisposa are so friendly and helpful. Definitely check-out their dive and stay packages.
