Hotel Ghiza — Hotel in Tegucigalpa

I have stayed here twice recently work-related trips as it's very close (walking distance) to the US Embassy.||||The rooms are comfortable and the interior design is lovely. The first time I stayed I had a better experience than the second - it seems to depend where your room is located. The first time my room was located within the hotel on the second floor. There are comfortable beds, hot water, cable, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, breakfast, etc. It was great - a good night's sleep. They didn't have an iron in the room, but quickly brought us one when we requested. The staff are very friendly.||||The second time I stayed there, about a month later, was not as great. Still - not bad - but I think that a tip for future travelers which will be helpful is again, the location of your room. This time our room was on the front of the hotel, facing the street - so you naturally get more noise from the road. It was also right next to the hallway for staff, I imagine leading to the kitchen or where the security guard leaves their things. So at night, for a period of time, there was quite a bit of noise.||||This isn't a complaint against the hotel, simply a tip for other traveller's to keep in mind if you need a particularly quiet place or good night's sleep.||||Breakfast is included but is not very good, so unless you're in a rush - I would suggest to grab breakfast somewhere else ;)||||They have a man that runs a shuttle to the embassy who really went above and beyond - it was a great added...

Stay at this small hotel for 7 weeks and even though they had limited amenities they still made up for it on excellent service. The daily breakfast was alway fresh and on time , the food was delicious if interested in dinner. My room was always cleaned daily and never had to ask for any extra towels or necessities. The front desk was very courtesy and professional and always willing to help assist me in any endeavor I seek. Manuel was very helpful in providing me with transportation when needed, George the owner made sure I was pleased and comfortable with my stay there and spoke to me daily to ensure that I was satisfied with their service. The hotel offers good food and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. The center courtyard was a nice place for meals and informal meetings of our team of eight. A Chinese Restaurant only one block away.
