Hotel Plaza Del General — Hotel in Tegucigalpa

I normally stay at the Clarion and have always had a great experience but there were no rooms available for ths trip so I booked at Plaze del General. This is no Clarion and would not stay here again:||||1: Hotel has no parking so you have to park in another hotel's lot and walk the quarter / half block to this hotel. Not a biggie but annoying.||||2. When I got into my standard room - room is smaller than those at Clarion and not as upscale but OK. However, water pressure was non-existent - I mean a trickle. They sent maintenance as I was leaving for the day.||||3. When I got back at 10 PM my key did jot work. I go to lobby and they tell me they could not fix the shower so they would have to move me.||||They put me in a junior suite to make up for the switch which I thought was nice. Water pressure here is also not great marginally and the room has a distinct musty smell.||||4. Room has no garbage can...called about half hour ago to get one and so far zilch.||||5. Slowest internet service EVER...it is just terrible. It is basically unusable.||||6. Bed pillows hard as rocks||||Would not recommend and definitely would...

I was in Tegucigalpa for a seminar, and I booked this hotel. Cant complain at all, it's a safe zone (and in Tegucigalpa this matters a lot), the hotel is part of a "hotel zone" with 3 other ones. There are good restaurants and bars (part of the hotels), but apart from that nothing else. The included breakfast buffet was OK, not the typical "continental one". They gave me a 2x1 drinks at the hotel bar. The staff was very polite and why not say it Sarai is beautiful!!!. There are always cabs outside the hotels, so you can go anywhere. ||||Great hotel, I would use it again...

I booked through booking, so breakfast was not included which is fine. The hotel has a great location if you want to go to bars. The restaurants close to the hotel have a very limited menu so, that’s not a pro. The building is old and you can hear everything from|Your room, even they have events, it gets loud. The water temperature in the shower is so inconsistent. For 90 dollars I would prefer staying at the Hilton Express which is more basic (but modern and quiet) or maybe The...
