I was really excited to come here and try the menu as I read so many good reviews about the place. My boyfriend’s meal was very delicious, but my experience with the pho soup that I ordered was horrible and the service in general was also not good. I mentioned to the waitress that I do not like coriander at all so I would like to order mine without it. My pho arrived with a lot of coriander on top. When I asked her nicely to bring a new one for me she told me I did not mention it to her and when my “new” soup arrived I could feel the coriander in it, which means that it was not a new one, they simply took the spices from the top. I recently dined at Hànội Xưa, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming ambiance set the tone for a lovely evening. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

This is definitely one of the best Vietnamese I tried in Budapest throughout many many years. For me, the basic beef pho is the comparison point, but all of their dished are great that I tried.

So the pho is clean, not over spiced and not over salted/sweetened! This is super important, as some places here in Budapest offer great pho, but because it's just full of sugar and salt, and who know what else... Theirs is clean and feels good to eat! The large portion is super large!! I could hardly finish it alone!
