We were making our way from Romania to Budapest and looking for somewhere to visit and decided on Eger. In our search for accommodation we came across Illaberek Panzio and sent a question via their website with little hope for a response (we find most of these contact forms don't work) to our surprise Rita wrote straight back and was a wealth of information and offered to pick us up from the train station.||We were so impressed with everything, Rita was lovely, spoke perfect English, happily chatted to us about a variety of topics.||She gave us a better room (they are all nice), which was a nice size with private bathroom and constant hot water in the shower.||There is plenty of common areas to relax in, a communal kitchen, tea and coffee, and free wifi. The perfect place for long term travellers like ourselves and all at a very reasonable rate.||Location is in the hills above the town, its a very nice neighbourhood and a short walk to town, although the mobility challenge might find it too much.||Eger was a lovely town to spend a few days in and after sight seeing sip a few bulls...

Unfortunately, the place itself was more bare-bones than I expected from reviews and it felt more like a hostel than a B & B. Rooms could have been cleaner, the towels didn't smell totally clean, and a little bit more effort all around would make it much nicer.
