Yesterday I visited Kanyakumari with my family. For a day accommodation I had booked 'Hotel Ganesh Lodge' 1 month prior through Goibibo by paying Rs. 387/-. My experience about that hotel as follows,
They are fraudster. I am single female travelling to Kanyakumari , so I called them and told that my train coming morning 5.30 and I am leaving at 6 pm same day, so how shud I do booking, the guy told me to book for the same day I am traveling.he asked if I can do google pay. But I wanted it on my records rather than paying some random number so I legally booked thru IRCTC website and called the guy to chk confirmation. The guys asked me how much u paid, I said 600 as I got discount with the website.he said that for 600 they can not give the room!!!! I was like don't feel ashamed of yourself. U have given the irctc advertisement and when someone got discount n booked thru it , u saying that u can not give it.i was dependent on this lodge as I have done prepaid booking so my travel is smooth.he told me to cancel as he wil not give the room for that amount !!!!! Why then u have advertisement ????
They reply saying there is no tie up with irctc...such liars they are...Very convenient huh .what is this then.(.I have attached screenshot of the booking )...u can't just get away saying u don't have tie up..when I called u guys clearly asked me to cancel my reservation.if there was no tie up then why did the reservation got confirmed and u guys asked to cancel n book online......
Read moreMyself and my wife were looking for a hotel room and approached reception and the male working there. We asked if there were any doubles available and what the cost of the rooms were. Immediately we were told Booking dot com. Again we asked the same question stating if we liked the room we may well book it through that site. Again he just said Booking dot com. Could we see a room we asked and got the same shirty response of Booking dot com! In my experience if the only way to book a room is through a site with all the loss of income that incurs to the hotel, then it’s for one of two reasons: The owner does not trust the hotel staff as he feels they will takes some of the money or the hotel does not want the guest to see the room before he has paid as he’s unlikely to stay and pay once he’s seen it. If the former is the reason then if the owner does not trust his staff, then why should I trust them with my safety, well-being and belongings? If the latter then obviously you wouldn’t stay. Now the owner may well respond to this and blame his staff etc. Again if this occurs it merely shows how poor the owner is as it appears from other reviews that he has had a staff issue for quite some time!
