I went here for a dinner and we ordered multiple items. The restaurant is a little small and can accommodate a maximum of about 30 people. Here’s what we ordered:
Daal Makhni Malai Methi Paneer Paneer Butter Masala Navratan Korma Lachha Parantha Garlic Naan Tandoori Roti
The food was alright, and by that I mean just about edible. It wasn’t something you’d classify as outside food and at the same time you couldn’t call it home food. Too much cream and butter in the presentation made the food heavy and lost the taste.
Daal Makhni was very bland and didn’t quite live up to the mark of a classic daal makhni.
The Malai Methi Paneer tasted the most decent and that’s the one I couldn’t get the picture of sadly. Sorry, my bad.
Paneer Butter Masala also consisted of too much of cream and butter on the top. It was again not authentic and had a very localised touch. Perhaps conventionalized to meet the local taste buds.
Navratan Korma was ok, it was better than the rest but only slightly. It lacked the traditional aroma and taste as was rhetorical case with all food preparations we consumed.
The restaurant has a bathroom which is quite small and could do with a little more maintenance. The fixtures were flimsy and could have been a little better aligned so that your hands don’t touch the wash basin as you’re washing them.
There is little parking space available (2-3 small cars at the most), aside from that depending on the hour of the day you visit, your vehicle is prone to be towed.
There’s no visible wheelchair entrance available.
I wouldn’t really recommend it. That said it may appeal more to the locals for the food but not so much as travellers. This is my personal opinion. Please feel free to explore...
Read moreVery goof restaurant. When I entered the restaurant at 1:30 PM, not a single customer was there. I thought I have come at wrong place. Still I ordered a chicken curry and rotis and 1 ltr water. By the time order arrived, I checked again about the hotel on net, and it showed I am at right place. When the food came and I tasted it, it was just extremely good. The chicken curry was perfectly cooked, adequately spicy and less oily. Improvements suggested: Roti should be either tandoori or a chapati. Both shouldn't be mixed. It was not thick enough to classify as a tandoori roti and neither sleek enough to be called a roti. Bisleri water was charged 25+ GST. This should not happen as packed water has MRP and taxes included. Also 25 is over charged for a...
Read moreI used to stay here when I used to go to Agra every month to visit my friends. Was madly in love with their services. The behaviour of both uncles is really appreciable. Now as if I am not in India I really miss their food specially bengan bharta and Missi roti. I visited a lot at the property with my husband but I wish I could take my kids there and get them the taste of real India. Specially the bedsheet I purchased from Aunty is really of good quality. Thank you fori your Hospitality and Behaviour uncle. Really miss you all. Love...
