Lakshmi Villas is a 64 years old south indian joint. I have been going here since i was 10 years old. The taste of food has not changed even a bit. They still use exactly same amount of ghee(which i absolutely love), the same amount of mild spices in their food (which my family absolutely adores) and the same old smile on their staff's faces while greeting us all.
Recently, #thehapsisquad was invited for a tasting and we tasted the following, Dahi vada: it was soft, basically melting in my mouth and had the boondi which gave it the crunch it needed🌼 Filter coffee: all anybody could say while drinking it is "Ahhhhh..." it was that good.🌼 4ft. Family dosa- it was enough for 6 people and it tasted crispy and sambhar was good as always!🌼 Malabar Parantha- i could actually see the different layers of parantha which is a clear indication of how well it was prepared. Also the curry it was served with was tasty as hell🌼 Cheese uttpam- it's a must try at this place, it was gobbled in seconds.😅 Kesar Pineapple bhaat- top notch quality! 🌼
Apart from South Indian food we also had some chinese, which also was very yum! Honey chilli potatoes were crispy and the flavours it had complimented the crispiness.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
All that is left is they need to improve on the ambience a bit, it's been the same for a very long time.
Overall a must...

#thehapsisqaud was invited to one of the best tastings of all times in "Laxmi Vilas". And when I say one of the best, I really mean it.
Starting with the ambience, the outlet is a regular sized family restaurant situated in one the busiest areas of the city, i.e Sadar. The eatery is neither too huge nor too congested, but is beautifully designed and decorated with complete focus on hygiene and sanitisation.
Now, coming to food, where should I start, a picture is worth thousand words. Manchurian- a must try if you like indo Chinese Dosai- flavourful. Made in pure clarified butter and are so tasty Honey Chilli potato - scrumptious Malabar paratha - A Kerala style paratha, serves with korma, enough for a single person Desert- keari bhath
Finally, talking about hospitality then again full points. The staff was sober, polite, respectful and kind enough to let us allow in the restaurant's kitchen and chef area.
So if you're looking for a budget friendly restaurant which serves amazing food in proper health safety methods with amazing ambience and hospitality, Laxmi Vilas is the definitely the place to go.

The Dosa here is delightful (and that’s coming from me who rarely indulges in a Dosa)! There are a variety of options to choose from. We ordered multiple items such as:
Rawa Masala Dosa ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rawa Onion Masala Dosa ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Paper Masala Dosa ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Mysore Masala Dosa ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Rasam Pappad ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (spicy and lacked the true taste) Dahi Vada ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Cold Coffee ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Idli Saambhar ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
All the items we had were fresh and crisp. The stuffing was nice and seemed quite similar to an authentic South Indian restaurant. The saambhar was very good too and had a very nice subtle taste.
The coconut chutney was quite nice and the onion chutney was great. I think they nailed the onion chutney quite well tbh and I didn’t expect it to be quite as good.
There is enough parking outside for about 20 odd vehicles. There is a wheelchair entrance but not quite a wheelchair friendly bathroom.
Great place to indulge your palate. Great food at a reasonable cost. We paid 3k all inclusive for 9...
