Disastrous Stay at Maple Grand – Broken Amenities and Inhumane Service Stay Date: 27th Sept 2025 Check-in Time: 9:00 PM Room: [204] Our family's experience at Maple Grand was deeply disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. Despite checking in at 9:00 PM with a young child (6 years old), we were immediately faced with multiple critical room failures and were subjected to appalling customer service from the night staff and management. Breakdown of Issues: Broken Toilet Flush: Immediately after checking in, we discovered the flush button was broken. We reported the issue to the restaurant staff while having dinner. Incompetent Maintenance: Upon returning at 10:30 PM, the same issue persisted. The room boy who came to fix it appeared to be drunk, and his "fix" was useless. Complete A/C Failure: By 11:00 PM, the air conditioner stopped working entirely. The humidity quickly built up, making the room incredibly hot, and our entire family (including our child) became sweaty and sticky. Deceptive Staff and Delay Tactics: When we complained about the A/C, the same intoxicated room boy was sent again. He claimed the "mode was changed" and asked us to wait 15 minutes. The receptionist then called and suggested we use the fan instead, which was an infuriating suggestion given we paid for an A/C room. The staff continuously delayed and killed time by asking us to wait another 15 minutes. Failure to Resolve & Unacceptable Management: When the A/C remained non-functional, we immediately requested a room change. Refusal of Room Change: The receptionist initially delayed, then claimed the hotel was "completely full" and offered a room at "another property 100 meters away." Expecting a family of three, with a 6-year-old and three large suitcases, to walk a significant distance at midnight is utterly inhumane and disrespectful. Refusal of Refund/Management Contact: We demanded a refund and chose to check out due to the negligence. The receptionist refused a direct cash refund, insisting on an online transfer or cheque, and the Manager/Owner completely refused to speak to us, either at night or the following morning. They showed zero concern for our predicament, especially the distress caused to a small child. No Bill Provided: When checking out the next morning, the staff refused to provide a final bill, which suggests a lack of transparency and proper business practice. Conclusion Maple Grand appears to be knowingly cheating guests by marketing rooms as "A/C" when they are aware the units are broken. I later found another online review reporting the exact same A/C issue. The rooms are subpar, and the staff, manager, and owner are the absolute worst: rude, negligent, and least bothered about guest well-being. Avoid this hotel at all costs. First, during breakfast, a waitstaff member wearing a jacket discreetly asked us for a tip despite having provided no service to justify it. Additionally, the breakfast service opened late, and nothing was fully prepared when we arrived. We had no choice but to eat whatever was available first, which was frustrating as we wanted to enjoy our meal all at once. To make matters worse, some of the rank-and-file waitstaff were visibly listening to music on their mobile phones while working, and we could hear it as well—an incredibly unprofessional and distracting behavior.
Second, the male front desk staff on the night shift was shockingly rude. I simply asked whether any shops in the vicinity would be open early in the morning, and his dismissive response was, “Just go outside and check.” I politely clarified that I was asking him because, as a staff member, he should have more local knowledge than a tourist like myself. The rooms here were so good, they werent less pretty thn any other resort. We are from Gujarat and had no idea about agra. We just booked this hotel from the App by looking at the pictures and price. And it was so good when we arrived. We extended our stay. The service was so good.. they provided us anything tht we wanted ( pillow, water, bucket) at literally 11.45 pm. I loved this experience. We also had breakfast at there and.. items were limited but the taste was good and worth it. Loved it! Thanks for providing such service. We arrived a bit earlier than the check in time but half of the rooms were provided to us and till thn, we were sitted at the restaurant of the hotel. It was pleasure.
