Hotel Taj Khema — Hotel in Agra

This hotel is a property of u p s t d .This hotel is situated near eastern gate of taj mahal within 500 meters of taj so no vehicle is allowed there. Any one comes to this place has to park his car or taxi in shilp gram nearly 200 metres away. Taj khema sends their battery car to shilp gram to pickup guests. I stayed in tajkhema on November 22 ,2016.When i reached shilpgram .I informed my arrival to hotel mr gopal saini assist manager personally came to pickup my family in battery car. Checkin was smooth in a minute. Mr Sangeet garg incharge of hotel tajkhema is a very nice and helpful person he welcomed me. My room was ac deluxe room .Room was big in size .wash room was also big and nice .Electronic fittings were not properly working. As the name suggests khema means tents. There are tent cottages are also there. There is a view point in the hotel .Guests can view taj from there in the morning and evening. Guests can have their lunch or breakfast at view point but for this they have to pay 25%extra as service charge..They provide complimentary breakfast but very limited choice one can have two parathe or omelette slice with tea. One thing is very objectionable they charge about rs 35 for a water bottle of rs 20.I felt that staff is not sufficient at this property government should look into it. Barring these two short comings Tajkhema is a nice place to stay near...

Had a stay at Taj Khema with family in october 2018.. The only positive thing this hotel offers is its prime location..One can enjoy the beauty of Taj Mahal from its lawn itself..||Now coming to its disadvantages..||First of all, no cab or auto is allowed upto the hotel gate due to Taj Mahal security protocol.. so you have to get down quite a few meters away and hire a rickshaw or walk down the street to the hotel..||The saddest parft however, is the pathetic maintenance of this hotel..from geysers to air conditioners to T.V remote, it seems almost everything in this hotel is either defunct or malfunctioning..||The bed covers, blankets,bed sheets are stinky, shoddy and unhygenic to say the least..walls of the rooms are dampened.. ||It seems that Housekeeping/ Hospitality doesn't even exist in this hotel as repeated requests for changing blankets, bed sheets fell into deaf ears..||You have to pay the restuarant bills instantly and that too in cash.. Food quality is quite below average..||I won't recommend such hotel to anyone willing to...
