D'Habitat Serviced Apartments in Bangalore Koramangala — Hotel in Bengaluru

I was looking for a place to stay in Koramangala and discovered D'Habitat here on tripadvisor. My daughter lives around the corner and gave it thumbs up after doing a walk by and the reviews all seemed pretty positive so I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights in December. ||||A few days before my arrival I sent an email asking to arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel for 4 people. Minivan confirmed and driver holding a sign to meet us right on schedule. The drive took about 45 minutes and cost us 3,000r. After a very long journey to get to India the cost was worth the convenience. ||||We arrived at the hotel around 11am. The manager and staff gave us a warm greeting. It turned out our room wouldn't be ready until later that day so they offered us a room at their sister property (Premium Serviced Apartments) a block away. We walked over to take a look and while the exterior wasn't as nice, the apartment unit they offered us was satisfactory and we were ready kick off our shoes so we agreed to stay 1 night and then change to D'Habitat for the next 2 nights which is how it played out. ||||Our experience overall was very positive- the manager and staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The apartment property felt very safe and secure. It's a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. The breakfast options and service were quite good. The beds were comfortable, furnishing and fixtures all worked. The place was clean enough and well looked after. The photos are accurate. ||||There was however one major hiccup with our experience- When it came time to leave we asked the hotel to arrange transportation for us back to BLR which they agreed to do. The next morning the driver was there to take us to the airport and this is where things got very interesting as it became apparent after about 10 minutes that our driver didn't have any idea where the airport was! At every stoplight he would lean across the open window asking rickshaw drivers, other cabs and back at us asking "aeroporta? aeroporta?" There are obviously lots of drivers that know the way or at least follow GPS so how did we manage to get this guy? When I could follow the road signs and he couldn't I knew we were in trouble! We made it eventually- I'm not sure who was more relieved us or the driver when we finally arrived. I have been staying at D Habitat probably for the last 6 years but never had a cause to complain . Last month when I heard that the manager Girish whom I had known had left I was a bit apprehensive whether service and comfort levels will be the same . But a big thumbs up to Praveen who has fitted in perfectly and my stay was as enjoyable as my previous ones . Regarding the apartment it has a superb location in Koramangala with plenty of eating joints all within walk able distance . The best part is that the noise levels are low and the service is impeccable . The boys who have been there for quite sometime welcome me back as an old acquaintance and are one of the best staff that I have seen as a frequent traveler .Getting transportation there is no problem - the main road is a 100 meter walk wherein you can hail autos . Otherwise if you are prepared to shell out the extra bucks they arrange to hire cars on day or point to point basis . I would really like to complement the management for doing a fabulous job - keep it up...

I was on a business travel to Bangalore along with my colleague. We booked a 2BHK apartment and it was really good. The staffs were courteous. We really loved the place and the home was excellent. Rooms were neat and beds were excellent. The package came with free breakfast and was glad that it had some choices. Little care is required when it comes for toilet. Water was dripping from the Geyser. When flushed in the toilet, the water was flowing out of the closet. I suspect it is overflowing from the concealed flush tank. I switched on the AC but there wasn't enough cooling. With little curiosity, I opened the indoor unit filter cover and found that it was completely covered with layer of dust that was preventing flow of air. I cleaned by myself , which was just a 5 mins job and had a peaceful night. I would suggest to look in to the rates as it is slightly higher but worth paying for...
