Read moreWe visited this restaurant with a group of 10 adults and one child after pre-booking our table five hours in advance. I even called ahead to confirm the reservation and check if they could accommodate a large group comfortably. Unfortunately, the overall experience was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was no staff at the entrance to guide us or assist with seating. Despite our confirmed booking, it seemed like no arrangement had been made. The place was already full, and after waiting and repeatedly asking, the staff joined three tables near the kitchen, which made the seating cramped and uncomfortable. Service was another low point. No one attended our table proactively; we had to keep calling staff members just to get menus, water, and basic items. Each starter arrived in 10min intervals and we couldnt really enjoy the food together. The main course took another 30 mins to arrive.
Several times we had to cancel pending items because it was getting too late for the family, especially with a child present. The food itself was average at best, some dishes were decent, but the inconsistent service overshadowed everything. For a pre-booked group, better preparation and coordination were expected.
Overall, the experience felt chaotic, understaffed, and poorly managed, which is unfortunate because the place does seem popular. Would not advice for a family, probably good enough for a couple of friends to enjoy drinks. The restrooms were really...
Read moreTonight we felt like having some good North Indian chicken, and so decided on Dhaba at Chandigarh's Sector 7. Feeling a bit lazy to go out, we ordered a home delivery. My younger son's yardstick of any restaurant is their preparation of Butter Chicken. So he ordered that. My elder one ordered their chicken platter - an assortment of chicken delicacies, and on the Restaurant person's recommendation, I went ahead with their 'Bathinda Chicken' - with the instructions to go easy on the spicy part. Well ! We weren't disappointed. The butter chicken was well prepared, but it comes fourth in his rankings so far. The chicken platter was the winner- each preparation had a unique flavor. The seekh kebab had a succulent taste, the Tikkas were juicy and melt-in-your-mouth. The chicken wings too had a perfect crispy taste. Lastly, the Bathinda Chicken was your regular chicken fry, but was well done and fortunately the spiciness was also my "swad anusar"! This Restaurant lives up to it's reputation. I'm not commenting about the ambience of the restaurant as I'm yet to check it out, but the pics on the net sure look inviting. Do try it out. It'll...
