I am NOT a customer of JW Marriott Hotel, Sector 35, Chandigarh. But I am still writing this review because I am a RESIDENT of Sector 35 and I have a serious complaint against the hotel management. JW Marriott hotel management does not have any sense of civic responsibility nor hygiene & they also do not believe in the rule of law. When the hotel was purchased, they did not buy/ lease enough land to meet their car-parking needs. Now, everyday the customers come and park their cars on the sides of the NARROW service roads right at the place where everyone has to get into the sector. Sometimes cars are even parked on the cycling paths. Not only that, the hotel security routinely take their own sweet time to let in those cars which want to park inside the hotel premises thus continually blocking the service roads. This is at the FRONT ENTRANCE entrance gate. The BACK ENTRANCE of the hotel is much worse where the NARROW service roads are regularly blocked by the haphazardly parked personal vehicles of the hotel staff or by the huge trucks which carry various equipment into the hotel... Everyday there are queues of cars of harassed sector 35 residents, lining back-to-back trying to navigate the congested/ blocked road by honking in utter dismay & trying to reach the main road but the hotel's relaxed and unperturbed security carry on at their leisure pace as if this is someone else's problem...The condition of the service road has seriously deteriorated due to this abuse. I have tried to raise this issue with the On-Duty Manager Saumya but to no avail. I request the senior hotel management to take necessary action or else we residents will have to take legal action against your...
Read moreI had the pleasure of interacting with Chetna Verma during my stay at JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh on the 17th and 18th of August 2023, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Chetna’s dedication to ensuring our stay was unforgettable was truly remarkable. From the moment we approached her for assistance with our booking, she went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. She not only secured the best possible upgrade for us but also facilitated an effortless check-in process.
What truly set Chetna apart was her willingness to exceed our expectations. She took the time to show us the Presidential Suite, which left us in awe, and even offered us a generous discount to make it accessible for us. Her attention to detail was evident in every aspect of her service.
Chetna’s commitment to customer satisfaction was truly outstanding. She demonstrated her exceptional professionalism and customer service skills by communicating with her seniors to ensure we received the best treatment possible. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay.
Chetna Desai’s dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to providing outstanding customer service made our stay at JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh an unforgettable experience. She is a true asset to your team, and we cannot thank her enough for making our visit truly special. We look forward to returning to JW Marriott and experiencing the exceptional hospitality that Chetna...
Read moreLet’s start with the only positive (but is it really). The location. Which isn’t a big positive as everything in Chandigarh is 15-20 minutes away except bad traffic days which are very rare.
Negatives: Rooms are broken. Floor is squeaking. Towels are black. Fixtures are broken. The rooms need major renovating. Glassware is not stocked fully and then when used they are not restocked lol.
Food: The food is downright horrible. This applies to room service as well as the daily breakfast cafe.
Overcrowded everywhere. Lobby. Restaurants. Check in desk. Pulling up to the entrance with cars left in the driveway with owners missing or valet just day dreaming.
Service reminded me of Indian Coffee House (an old Government maintained cafe with extremely poor and unhygienic standards). They were trying to please but they can’t.
The breakfast counters are flocked by the staff, you have to budge in to get something from the buffet. Sad and horrible. This was not the case 10 years ago.
The staff is trying, but it’s the management that needs to step in and take appropriate measures. Make the hotel more expensive. Renovate the rooms. Hire better cleaning staff. Hire good chefs. Do whatever.
I felt like I’m staying at a 2 or 3 star property during my entire stay.
Please note this review is a reflection of the current state of affairs. Nothing in particular ticked me off or made me write this review.
Just feel horrible for a lost opportunity...
