Hotel Metropolis Tourist Home — Hotel in Delhi

I had a terrible experience at Hotel Metropolis, and I would never recommend booking a stay here. Initially, the staff seemed friendly, but that was just a facade. Once we checked in, the issues began to unfold.

Firstly, there was no hot water available, which is unacceptable for any hotel. The room itself had a foul smell that made it hard to relax. To make matters worse, the blanket provided was not only small but also dirty, which was quite off-putting.

The bathroom had significant drainage problems; the toilet wouldn't flush properly, and water wouldn't drain at all. This made for a very uncomfortable stay. Additionally, the lack of a lift was inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage up the stairs.

I saw a similar listing on Booking so I thought I'd give it a try. However, after reserving I learned that all the information was wrong in the "confirmation " email The address given doesn't exist, in GMaps, the phone number is not to the hotel and the email says no changes no refunds so it seemed like I got scammed. Therefore, after arriving late at night I had to find and book another hotel. Later in my trip I went to the hotel that sounded similar to the one I booked to let them know someone was using their hotel for a scam. I explained everything to the person at reception and told them I had to rebook another place and he just said something like "Oh, its a new listing". No apology, no sympathy and instead gave me a card so I can go there next time I want a hotel in Delhi. I wish he'd hold his breath for...

I booked stay at this hotel after seeing a good review on the Google. Overall I had a good experience.

Pros -Rooms are clean and good sized -Quality of room floor, roof, walls all good -Toilets, bedsheets were clean -Rooms had good wifi network -Room had study table, chair and coffe table -Room lightening is good -Suitable for visa application center and ebmassy/consulate work.

Cons -Service is slow. I had to call more than once every time I needed some assistance from staff.
