Cafe Festa — Restaurant in Delhi

They are doing fraud by charging service charge at 5% on the total amount. Their bill is so vague, one day if a person from IRS comes to this place, will definitely give them a bash. First of all, the prices of the food items mentioned on the bill & menu are inclusive of GST of 18% (now 12% 6oct,17). What they are doing is, charging the service charge on this amount. Now first of all, service charge is not mandatory to pay. Second, if it is charged, it should be on the gross value of the food item. For eg- A frappe here costs Rs.165. This price is inclusive of 18% GST. So its gross amount is 139. Now instead of charging the service charge on 139, they are charging it on 165.

This brings to the simple conclusion that the service charge customer is paying is not 5% but more. See bill for an understanding. Coming to the food, veggie lovers pizza and garlic bread weren't good....

Favorite place, but leisurely service, and if your breakfast waitress in the USA has trained you to expect coffee the moment you walk in... Well, no, it's served here for dessert. On the other hand, the breakfasts are reliably good (early staff on Saturday forgot our roast potato slice, but perhaps we were too early). Festa Special Breakfast is eggs over easy and toast (and maybe that potato will show up, and a broiled or warmed tomato. Indian Special Breakfast is a stuffed paratha and a hearty (if small) omelette, with curd (yogurt) and pickle (hot pepper mix): good for the start of a long day. The Mixed Platter of roasted paneer, cauliflower, and mushroom is delicious and filling, but can be too spicy for some: ask for it mild if need be. We were having a quick stop over in Delhi before we head towards Manali. Me and my cousin booked a bed in backpackers panda. We were starving by the time we reached backpackers. Went to this restaurant as per the reception guys suggestion . It was at a stone throw away distance. We liked it so much that we ended up having dinner at the same place before catching our bus .

We took the veg thali , it was decently priced. The quantity of food was very filling . The taste was very delicious. We also had the same thali for dinner. Love the place...
