I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maidens Hotel during my visit to Delhi, and I must say, it was an enchanting experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, this heritage hotel is a perfect choice for those seeking a unique blend of history, elegance, and warm hospitality.
The moment I stepped foot inside the hotel, I was greeted by the grandeur of its colonial architecture. The imposing facade, adorned with intricate detailing and lush green gardens, immediately transported me back to the bygone era. As I entered the reception area, the staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and impeccable service, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The rooms at Maidens Hotel are tastefully decorated, capturing the essence of old-world charm while offering modern comforts. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city.
One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience at the hotel's restaurants. The Garden Terrace, with its serene ambiance and al fresco seating, was the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast or a romantic dinner under the stars. The food was delectable, featuring a diverse range of cuisines that catered to different palates.
The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to service excellence were evident in every aspect of my stay. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request or inquiry. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing local recommendations, or organizing sightseeing tours, they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
Another noteworthy aspect of Maidens Hotel is its rich history. Originally built in the early 1900s, the hotel has retained its old-world charm, with vintage photographs, antique furniture, and period artwork adorning the corridors and public spaces. It was fascinating to learn about the hotel's heritage and the prominent figures who have stayed within its walls over the years.
In terms of location, Maidens Hotel offers easy access to some of Delhi's most iconic landmarks and attractions. Whether it's exploring the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk, visiting the magnificent Red Fort, or immersing oneself in the serenity of the Lodi Gardens, everything is within a convenient distance from the hotel.
Overall, my experience at Maidens Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. It is a place where history and hospitality seamlessly blend, creating a unique and memorable stay. If you're looking for a luxurious yet charming accommodation option in Delhi, I highly recommend considering...
Read moreI had ordered food home from Maidens last night. This person called “PRAVESH” took the order from room dining from me yesterday. He forgot to send a few things with the food.. basically he sent dry chicken with no sauce and on telling him about it as soon as the food arrived home to me.. he got so nervous because obviously the mistake was on his end.. he gave a couple of stupid excuses. First he told us he himself packed the sauce and it can’t be possible that it’s not there. We shared a photo of the food as soon as it arrived with him. Then he went on to say that the sauce was actually already put on the chicken and on again reminding him through the photo that the chicken was dry .. he further on went to say “Sorry we don’t serve sauce with the chicken.” Now the funny thing is that we’re regulars at maidens and we know the menu by heart. It was probably the 50th time we’d been ordering the same dish from them and since he was a new comer he obviously wouldn’t know that. And mind you he himself took the order with all the instructions only to forget to put half the things in the bag. He ruined our entire dinner and night. So he basically got nervous and went on to say sir i’ll send you the same order again but then he backed out the next minute and starting blaming us instead. He was so confused because then he again changed his stance.. after realising probably his fault, he went on to blame us and say “well the porter took time to come so it’s your fault that the sauce wasn’t packed “ and that he can’t do anything about it. All i can say is It’s a SHAME. Like seriously? This is the stupidest excuse i’ve heard.. we paid 3k only to put dry chicken down our mouths last night and instead of acknowledging his mistake, he had some weird attitude. There was no remorse whatsoever. He didn’t even apologise but infact had this attitude of blaming us for ordering the dish. It’s been a pathetic and horrible experience. Shame on Maidens for keeping such unprofessional and delusional staff. I’ve been a regular and used to keep ordering from Mr Vasu and Mr Bharat at the coffee shop but this last experience has made me change my entire perception about the staff here and it has obviously been a step forward in damaging the reputation of the hotel and regular...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Maidens Hotel from 13th September to 5th October in the ‘Premier Room’ and would like to provide some great feedback.
This was my first stay at the Maidens Hotel and it was the most memorable one ever in my life.
I have stayed in numerous five star hotels in Delhi but nothing compares to the quality of service and the high level of professionalism that the Maidens Hotel offers its guests.
I immensely enjoyed my stay at the hotel and this is primarily because everyone made a huge effort to look after me and address any needs immediately without a fuss.
In addition, the plush green gardens with the peacocks roaming about adds to the beauty and charm of the hotel. This is a place where one can escape the problems of daily life and immerse themselves in the historical past of the hotel and enjoy its peace and serenity whilst being in the centre of Delhi!
The two restaurants at the hotel serve both Indian and Western food and I had the pleasure to try both of them. The food served is fresh and some of the dishes that I tried were the best that I’ve ever had in Delhi, especially their Indian tandoori specialties.
The breakfast is plentiful and fresh dishes can be made to order.
Now for the ‘thanks’, to the following people and to the entire Maidens friendly team who worked so hard to ensure that I had a really comfortable stay:
Firstly, I would like to thank Savio who allocated me a lovely room due to my medical condition and made me feel like a special guest. During my stay, we had many unforgettable conversations and laughs and I feel that I made a great friend.
In addition, I would also like to mention the following people who made my meal times at the restaurant special and worked very hard to cater to my needs:
Mr Bharat Mr Anurag Mr Vasu Miss Aditi
Last but not least, I would also like to thank Kaushal and Virendra who made my room ‘sparkle’ each day and a pleasure to come back to after a hard day’s shopping in Delhi!
I will definitely be staying at the Maidens Hotel whenever I visit Delhi and I am already planning my next trip!
Thank you to everyone who made my stay at the Maidens hotel so perfect, wonderful...
