When I visited Daryaganj Restaurant in Civil Lines, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. With an average Google review rating of around 4.0 to 4.5 stars, I could tell that many others shared similar positive sentiments about the place. The food, which includes iconic dishes like butter chicken and dal makhani, lived up to its reputation. I found the flavors to be pretty average, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. The kebabs were a particular highlight for me, offering a perfect blend of tenderness and spices. Hara Bhara Kebab was so bland, almost tasteless.
The ambiance of the restaurant also stood out to me. The mix of traditional and modern decor created a warm and welcoming environment. It felt perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I noticed that the staff was attentive and friendly, which made my dining experience even more enjoyable.
However, I did feel that the prices were a little on the higher side compared to similar restaurants, but considering the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere, it felt justifiable. One downside I experienced was that the place was quite crowded during peak hours, so it took a little longer for my order to arrive.
Overall, Daryaganj Restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and craving some classic North...
Read moreI wanted to personally share some concerns that have been bothering me for a while regarding the way the side road next to your restaurant is being used.
This road is meant for resident entry and exit, but it's constantly blocked by delivery bikers associated with your restaurant. It creates a lot of chaos and inconvenience for people like me who use this road daily.
Also, there's an aluminium stair—around 20 ft long—that’s almost always lying there. It’s a serious safety hazard, especially for passing vehicles. Yesterday during the hailstorm, I saw your temporary setup scattered all over the main road, which was quite dangerous.
Another issue is your side entrance, where there are about 7–8 stray dogs always hanging around. I’ve noticed they’re often fed non-veg food, which is probably why they never leave. To be honest, it’s a bit concerning from a hygiene point of view—especially when it’s unclear whether the staff serving them are washing their hands before serving customers.
I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and take steps to fix these problems. It’s a great restaurant and I want to see it thrive, but not at the cost of safety and peace for the...
Read moreThe ambience was okay but the service & food was not upto the mark. The person serving us was in hurry. We asked him to serve starters after soup but he didn’t wait & served everything together. When we tell him to serve slowly after we finished our soup so he said that “ thoda thoda sath mei le lijiye” Starters are cold & taste is also not upto the mark. He started telling us to order North Indian food when we were eating our starters only. We aksed him to wait for 5 minutes so he told us that food will take so much time so order now. Main course tastes fine but the starters were not good. Also , There were not enough cutlery to serve. They don’t have enough cutlery to serve 14 people together in one go in same cutlery. When we asked for bowls for north Indian food , he told us that they don’t have enough bowls right now. Spending a huge amount on this place & still getting this type of service is not at all worth. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your money going here. Instead, go the other places which have better...
