This hotel is situated at the cernter of Panaji/Panjim. Location is really awesome. Neighbourhood is very quiet and your mind will be in a state of peace. Miramar beach is 10 mins of walking distance. However Mirarmar is not one of the most popular/attractive beaches of Goa. Dayanand Bandokar Marg is just 2 mins walking distance. (For thiose who does not know, D.B. Marg is a street which goes parallel to Mandavi river, starting from Dona Paula view point and ending at NH 4A which will take you to old Goa). 5 mins of scooty/car riding will take you to the cruise casinos and the daily Cruise tour which is arranged by Goa government. Kala Academy, Fontainhas and Immaculate Conception Church are places within 3-4 kms of the hotel.
However the hotel condition is not upto the mark. At the first, the receptionist-cum-owner of the hotel seems to be rude. But the tone he uses is the generic Goanese tone which seems to little rude/unpolished. The owners are very strict about the timings of check-in/outs. Room service is not so good. However there is a restaurant at the hotel which is not so bad. The rooms are indeed overpriced and you can find rooms with lesser cost in a better location (e.g. on the D.B. marg). The good thing about the rooms is that they strictly do not allow to smoke in the rooms/premises. This helps to keep the hotel area cleaner. They dont sell wines as it is situated just opposite to a church. However there is a bar just next to the hotel. But 4 mins of walking distance will take you to a wine-market who will sell you wines at distributor rate and is highly cheap. This hotel has tie up with a popular bank and we booked this as bank employee. The rooms alloted for bank employees are worse than the rooms booked by individuals. We had to book anoher room as 2 rooms were not available for bank employees. In that way we found out this difference and it seemed higly overpriced. In the evening we tried to find some other accomodation alternatives and found out indeed there are some with 800-1000 Rs. cheaper than this with better/equal accomodation,...
Read moreWould not recommend this place to anyone. Just read below the problems I faced with a span of 2 days stay.||||1) Refused to provide drinking water to driver. ||||2) Refused to give us extra blanket stating its one blanket per room policy. ||||3) Refused to serve curd with paratha. When asked again then served at extra charge, informed that its chargeable the next day. ||||4) Black eggs in egg biryani. when asked then stated that the knife used to cut the eggs was dirty, still I think the eggs themselves had gone bad. ||||5) No room service when asked to clean room at 2pm saying that the staff will have lunch and go off ||||6) Rude and unhelpful staff ||||7) After calling oyo for a blanket, I was given one by a staff. while giving he said you should ask for all these things in the morning!! To this my reply was I will ask for it whenever I want not when you want me to ask. No one sleeps in the morning, to ask for a blanket then. ||||8) Not served the complimentary bread slices with egg omelette, where as its written in the menu. When asked he said you have to ask for it separately. ||||9) Refused an extra bed when asked about it before my check-in date. said we have two people per room policy. I said any other room we can book in your hotel? said no. all full. I said then any other close by hotel? said there are few hotels but none of them are online. Couldn't tell me the names of any. When i reached the hotel it was visibly empty, now I know why. ||||All these experiences in just two days!! A very bad experience at the hotel and my own inclination to book from oyo again has come down quite a bit. I request OYO to verify the quality of the hotels they are...
Read morewe had a warm welcome on the day one with welcome drinks. Reception manager Mr.Richard was kind enough to accomodate and guide us accordingly. one of the best residential accommodation to experience with since it is in a quite decent area near Miramar beach. Service, greetings. features and all the amenities were excellent, however the bed in the room should be double instead of joining two single beds. there was no bucket in the washroom to wash clothes and clothes were not allowed to get dried up in the gallery.
over allow would for sure recommend this lodging if you are staying in panjim, since it is quite safe and would give homely feeling. This place is also near to the bus stop and the main road and hence can commute easily.
Food was tasty however service needs to be quick.
Thank you Mr. Richard and staff for all your services and support. we would love to visit again next year for...
