Nanbai — Restaurant in Goa

Nanbai Bakery is a cute little cafe cum bakery nestled in the lanes of Miramar, that serves a variety of sweets & savouries to choose from! Their outdoor sitting area also makes it a great co-working space to work from, because of the charging points at every table & the provision of a high speed Wi-Fi connection. 🥰

I tried out quite a lot of things they had to offer. I tried the Chicken Ham Croissant Sandwich which was served alongside salad & wafers, this dish however personally for me, wasn’t the best.

The Cheese Croissant & Beignets stole the show for me, personally. A rich, buttery & flaky croissant filled with cheesiness in every bite making it the perfect snack for any cheese lover! The Beignets too, we’re perfectly fried & buried in powdered sugar making them super pillowy & sugary! 🤤

The Viennese coffee here is going to impress any coffee addict instantly! This is the best way to start the day on a decadent note! I also tried the Chocolate Mint Latte, which is my favorite ice cream flavour turned into Coffee! ❤️ I also tried the Red Velvet Trifle Jar & Chocolate Millionaire Tart and these two were super yummy too!

I definitely recommend this place for some budget bites & if you have lot of catching up...

I have been a regular here and love the food but had an experience today which definitely left a bad taste. was paying my bill today and noticed that the person at the counter hadn't charged for one of the items. I pointed this out, and they generated a new bill. However, after that, I added another pack of chips (fritas) that they were selling at the counter. After it was punched in and the bill was generated, I noticed that the chips were made with palm oil. So, I requested if I could please return them since I don't eat palm oil for health reasons. Moreover, I suggested that they shouldn't even endorse something made with palm oil given the health repercussions. I also suggested that even if they couldn't return the chips immediately, they could give me a credit note so I could return them later and use the credit note on my next purchase from the cafe. Unfortunately, there was an outright rejection, and I felt really dejected despite multiple requests. Tucked away from all the hustle bustle of the city, nanbai bakery specialises in a variety of freshly made bakes, sandwiches, some hot beverages, waffles and other confectioneries priced at moderate range. The ambience is very calm and casual, with a spacious outdoor seating. It’s a self service bakery with a delivery time of around 15-20 min. . My personal favourite and a must have is their eclair. They have 3 varieties and my absolute favourite was the Choco eclair. It was Crispy, topped with Chocolate on the outside and filled with gooey chocolate cream, that’s an absolute treat to the palate,so much so that I parcelled a few. The pistachio eclair was something new and I totally loved it.

Another favourite was The cinnamon carrot muffin. It was light fluffy with a hint of cinnamon, paired it along with their smooth and rich Choco-almond nut butter and it’s a perfect match . The ham and cheese sandwich is delectable, the prawns puff could have done better though. . Altogether this is a good spot to spent a quiet and relaxed evening sipping on some hot coffee or for a quick grab...
