Orion Premiere — Hotel in Goa Island

Location: Located in altinho hills area, close to one or two big hotels n restaurants, like Taj Vivanta n fisherman's wharf. Overall service: For a day or two service seems excellent but in case your stay extends, the service quality deprives or atleast you can find loopholes in it. Specific: Rooms are big and clean, (atleast when you enter). With combination of white and yellow lights, everywhere, rooms look astonishing. However, no good view around. Room cleaning everyday but it's more like neglected job. Replenishing of toiletries etc was sometimes very proper sometimes absolutely pathetic.. usually used glasses n cups are not replace but just washed n kept again, sometimes you are not that lucky, they will lie as it is.. Bathroom is nice, only shower, no mug-bucket provided. Cleaning happens every day along with room cleaning but floor is superficially cleaned and after 2-3 days stains on floor are visible.. Room service is nice. Some staff members are very nice and very caring some not so.. Restaurants - Ambrosia - not so promising from location point of view. Taste of food is average. Food in breakfast, typically, idli, vermicelli, puri/paratha/bhature n sabji, boiled egg, egg omelette (on request), juice fruit etc... Not much changes.. taste of subji is little diluted. Bread pakoda was excellent.. french toast also nice - sweet though.. meal in room is also not very tasty may look like promising but is not. Ordered lemon coriander soup which was slightly bitter, may be due to excessive usage of finally chopped cabbage in it.. but soup was pathetic. One day during breakfast, found plastic piece. This was informed to attendant but that was not been escalated till I informed to manager. he said he will look in to this, Hope he does. This hotel falls short of being a 3-star establishment and can only be considered a 2-star hotel. The location is near Panjim and close proximity to various attractions, food and shopping options, and available parking for cars and 2-wheelers. My excitement for the premium suite I booked quickly turned to disappointment upon entering the room. The washroom was unclean with dust and garbage on the floor, and there was a half-dead cockroach in the sitting area. The furniture was old, rustic, and in a state of disrepair, and the mini-refrigerator was off and caused a power outage in the room when plugged in. Even though the beds and linens were clean and usable, the suite faced the backside of the hotel with a view of garbage, cigarette butts, and bottles. The breakfast experience was also disappointing, with hardly anything left by 10 am and a poor seating area. The overall dining experience was so bad that I opted to eat elsewhere and even skipped the next day's breakfast, which was already paid for. The other services were slow, and the reception staff frequently asked if I was a guest despite my comings and goings.
