Kala academy is in Panaji city very near to famous Miramar beach. The academy was built by famous architect Shri Charles Correa with a distinguished vision.As soon as enter the main gate sacurity personnel's are performing their duties. As we enter in the campus on the right side their are help desk to provide any assistance to visitors . The architecture of academy is very fabulous and in a sprawling campus near Mandovi river. The campus has been given painting and decoration in a very colourful Goan style. The building is very planned with two closed air conditioned auditorium,one open air theater,one blackbox and library . Their are room where many exhibits are displayed. The academy attract lots of visitors for attending drama,music,cultural programnes,tiatres, kavi sammelan and national and international level programmes and many more social and political programmes as well. The book sellers from different places display their books from different famous authors .The cmplex has wash rooms facility for ladies and gents visitors is found always very clean and tidy. The drinking water tapes are also provided but not functioning. Their are ample space in the campus with some sitting arrangements for a while to take rest . Their is one small canteen for visitors can have some refreshments and tea. As soon as enter from main gate on left side ample parking place for two and four wheelers make visitors to park their vehicle without any hassle . Their are lot of trees and small plants make academy environment very live and sustainable . Infront of canteen grass lawns are duely maintained and can have rest and walk along this to sea shore. ☆Kala Academy Kala Academy built in 1969; the main motto of Institute over the years had been promoting art and cultural programmes all over the states. Kala Academy is prime attraction in the Panjim and pride of Goa, it is actually located on the banks of Mandovi river, road going to Panjim - Dona Paul.

The complex has two auditoriums one is the open air auditorium the main with seating capacity about 2500, this auditorium is the trade mark of this complex, other one is close air condition named as 'The Dinanath Mangeshkar auditorium' having the seating capacity of 1000.

This complex has so much room that it has two mini theaters inside where small play is played by the small time artist or up coming artist especially who are trained, than there is recording studio, there is a library where you can find large collection of music (tapes and disc) as well as books. It also has art gallery where when artist perform their art exhibitions. Beside these activities there is workshop, practice room, visitor's room etc.

This Kala Academy plays very important role in promoting Goan traditional folk music all over state, infact Kala Academy has identified 27 folk dances forms of Goa, which are now performed mostly in public.

Kala Academy Goa is one of the best theaters and art institutes in the country. It hosts many big reputed festivals of performing arts, fine arts, and even film festivals. The International Film festival of India every year is hosted in Goa, and Kala academy is the most important site during that festival. It's a big space overall. It has a big auditorium, a Black box, different conference rooms and also an open air theatre which is currently in a collapsed condition. It also has a huge parking space. And also a big garden which is very very well maintained. I was a student here once upon a time. I admire this architecture so much. I feel the whole architecture itself is an art. I still like to visit Kala academy Goa to just feel its beauty, and admire it. This infrastructure is also located at the best spot. It is located at the bank of river Mandovi, which makes it even better. I used to sit in the garden often just to enjoy the evening. We even used to have our classes in the garden, it was a different vibe. You can also see the sea from this place, and enjoy watching the sunset in the evening. This city's very popular road Ram Manohar Lohia road is just in front of it. I recommend anyone to visit this place specially during the Lokotsav. It's the festival of Folk Art. It includes an exhibition of traditional folk craft, traditional food of different states, music of different states, dance forms of different states, folk theatre of different states, and much more.
