Its a wonderful idea on the part of the authorities to create a linear park along the riverfront. It is a pleasant enough space to be in. That being said, there are things that need to be addressed asap. For example, the toilet situation is terrible. Couldn't spot a single toilet in the entire place. If they're there, they have done a good job of hiding them. There is a sort of water body for boating which needs to be maintained. Lastly, even though it is a riverfront park, there is no access to the actual river, though they are still building a promenade that might remedy this situation. There need to be trees on this new promenade to protect against the unforgiving Goan sun.

Lastly, there are the tourists. In typical fashion, we see large groups of people eating and drinking on the lawns and leaving trash behind. There are sometimes alcohol bottles in children's play areas. Adults sometimes use the play equipment meant for children and break them. There needs to be better vigilance and enforcement to bring such unruly elements to heel.

In short, this place has a real potential to be a top-class destination if only it is...
