A Subpar Experience at Taj Vivanta Hotel
During my recent stay at Taj Vivanta Hotel, I couldn't help but feel disappointed, especially in comparison to my previous experiences with other Taj Vivanta hotels. While I had high expectations, the reality fell short in several aspects, making it a less memorable stay.
The first glaring issue was the size of the rooms. They were noticeably smaller than what I've come to expect from the Taj Vivanta brand. The lack of space made it challenging to move around comfortably, which took away from the overall comfort and relaxation that one seeks in a luxury hotel.
The hotel's restaurant was another letdown. It was surprisingly small, leaving guests feeling cramped and crowded during peak meal times. The breakfast menu was also quite limited, offering poor variety and not living up to the high culinary standards that Taj Vivanta hotels are known for. The lack of diverse options left much to be desired, especially for guests with dietary preferences or special requirements.
One aspect that stood out was the absence of travel car facilities. This was unexpected, as most luxury hotels typically offer travel services to cater to guests' transportation needs. The lack of this amenity made it inconvenient for travelers like myself, who rely on such services for seamless exploration of the city.
The overall ambiance of the hotel left something to be desired as well. The reception area lacked the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that I have experienced in other Taj Vivanta hotels. It felt dull and lacked the grandeur and warm hospitality that one anticipates from a renowned hospitality brand like Taj.
While the service provided by the staff was courteous and professional, these shortcomings in the hotel's infrastructure and amenities overshadowed the positives. Despite the hotel's convenient location and the reputation of the Taj Vivanta brand, the overall experience did not meet the high standards that I had come to associate with this esteemed chain.
In conclusion, my stay at Taj Vivanta Hotel was not up to par with the other experiences I've had at different Taj Vivanta properties. The small rooms, limited breakfast options, absence of travel car facilities, and lackluster ambiance in the reception area were significant drawbacks. I hope that the hotel management takes note of these concerns and works towards enhancing the guest experience to match the impeccable standards set by other Taj...
Read moreWe stayed at Vivanda Goa Miramar for 7 nights. We so enjoyed being there. The staff are wonderful.
It was a great pleasure being in a hotel where the manager (Karan) is so visible, walking around constantly and meeting and chatting to the guests, daytime and evenings also. He was always most receptive to comments and suggestions also AND he followed through with any promises always.
Lawan in room service was so kind and understanding of our needs. We appreciate what he did for us.
Saif and Khushbu in the dining room were wonderful at all times. Their service was excellent and they always welcomed us warmly and took such excellent care of us at all times. Soham is also very good.
Uday (dining room manager) is amazing. We have never been so well taken care of at all times. He was thoughtful and imaginative. We so enjoyed his company and all the special service. He is very good at his job and a huge credit to the hotel.
The food was fantastic. We loved the choices and loved that we could order western or Indian food. Our kudos to the chef.
The rooftop and pool are the highlight of your hotel. There is always a cool breeze and a great view. But best of all is Dinesh. He is a fabulous young man who keeps a watchful eye over the entire area and makes sure that all guests are well-looked after. He is such a pleasure and we have enjoyed him. Evenings and the music are very special there.
Raj, in the gym, was fantastic. He worked as a trainer with us every morning all week. He even wrote out a list of exercises to get us into shape at home. He is amazing and we so appreciate all that he did for us. The stretching exercises have made us feel much better.
Our room (406) was spacious and comfortable. Thanks to Dipti at front desk (she is very good) for assigning this to us. The bedding was very comfortable.
Thanks to the whole team at the hotel. So sorry I do not know the other...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay at Vivanta Miramar a lot. The hotel has a boutique feel to it. the rooms have a balcony and doors that open onto it. A beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets and out to the horizon beyond. The facilities and amenities are really well appointed. The pool area is fabulous, also with ocean views. and pool service. We could not fault the rooms, really lovely good sized with linen, comfy beds, a small sofa and table, desk and chair, The bathrooms are luxurious with bath, walk in shower, quality products and more. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. We could not fault the service of the all the staff, they are all so professional nothing is to much trouble at all with big smiles all round. They are all excellent at their respective positions and a big asset to the hotel. We used all the facilities. The buffet breakfast, the dining room for a meal and snacks, the lounge/ bar area for a drinks and room service. We liked the location it is quite and within walking distance to banks and a a supermarket, but only a few kms one way to the capital Panjim for shopping and exploring which was such a pleasure as the locals do not harass you like in some places to buy. We spent the day going from shop to shop with stops for coffee and snacks. Then a few Kms the other direction to the Donna Paula jetty with a lookout, market and plenty of good restaurants. Getting around is easy you can book a car from the hotel at very reasonable prices, we booked a car and driver for the day to go exploring further north, or there a plenty of taxis and auto rickshaws for local use. We will defiantly stay here again and will certainly recommend it to our family...
