Padaria Prazeres is a Portuguese bakery and cafe located in Panjim, Goa. They are known for their fresh, homemade breads, pastries, and sandwiches.
I recently visited Padaria Prazeres with friends and we ordered the following items:
Glazed cinnamon roll Baguette Brioche bun Glazed doughnut Egg mayo sandwich Roast chicken sandwich
The glazed cinnamon roll was huge and fluffy, with a generous amount of cinnamon sugar. The baguette was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and the brioche bun was light and airy. The glazed doughnut was also delicious, with a crispy exterior and a soft, doughy center.
The egg mayo sandwich was made with fresh bread, creamy egg mayonnaise, and crispy lettuce. The roast chicken sandwich was also very good, with juicy chicken, melted cheese, and a tangy tomato chutney.
We also ordered a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and the orange juice was fresh and sweet.
Overall, we had a great experience at Padaria Prazeres. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Panjim.
Here is a more detailed review of each item we ordered:
Glazed cinnamon roll: This was the star of the show. The cinnamon sugar was perfectly sweet and the dough was perfectly fluffy. It was so good that I could have eaten two of them.
Baguette: This was a classic French baguette. It was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfect for dipping in olive oil or spreading with butter.
Brioche bun: This was a light and airy bun that was perfect for a sandwich. It was not too sweet, so it did not overpower the other flavors in the sandwich.
Glazed doughnut: This was a simple doughnut that was glazed with a sweet glaze. It was not too sweet, and it was the perfect way to end our meal.
Egg mayo sandwich: This was a classic egg salad sandwich. The egg salad was creamy and flavorful, and the bread was soft and fresh.
Roast chicken sandwich: This was a hearty sandwich that was made with juicy roast chicken, melted cheese, and a tangy tomato chutney. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the chutney added a nice flavor contrast.
Overall, we were very impressed with the food at Padaria Prazeres. The service was also excellent. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Panjim.
Here are some additional thoughts on the restaurant:
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. It is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. The prices are reasonable. You can get a good meal for a good price.
The service is friendly and efficient. The staff is always happy to help you choose the perfect meal.
If you are looking for a delicious and affordable place to eat in Panjim, I highly recommend Padaria Prazeres. You will not be...
Read morePadaria Prazeres was on our to-do list in Goa. Thanks to the weather, we were stuck in South Goa most of the trip and only managed to squeeze in a short visit on our last day on our way to MOPA. Essentially, it became our pitstop on the âare we there yet?â drive.
Tucked away in Panjim's charming little bylanes, this cute little cafs has both both indoor and outdoor seating. Orders are placed at the counter, which comes with a cruel glass display case full of baked temptations you can ogle at while trying not to drool. Behind that is the kitchen, basically a live action teaser trailer for more deliciousness. The owners are genuinely lovely and helpful especially when faced with a menu that could paralyze one with indecision.
We got a table easily, though the place is small enough that you feel mildly guilty lingering too long. If youâre into sunshine or smoking with your caffeine, the outdoor seating will be your best bet. The vibe is cozy and homely.
Now to the food:
The roast chicken sandwich was a solid choice. Juicy chicken layered with crisp salad, tucked into a fresh and flaky breadThen came the harissa chicken sandwich, chosen by my girlfriend, which instantly won the flavor battle. It was an explosion of flavor that made my plain roast chicken sandwich feel⊠well, a bit pale in comparison. But hey, to each their own, I suppose.
The savory berliners were the real showstoppers. The garlic-chilli version absolutely demolished. It was so good we immediately ordered another. The cheese and jalapeno berliner was fine in comparison.
For drinks, I regressed to my childhood and ordered a cold chocolate milk that was so rich, so velvety, it made my inner child weep tears of pure, unadulterated joy. The kombucha, meanwhile, was fizzy, tangy, and smugly gut-friendly (as advertised).
I also grabbed a sausage roll, because why stop now. It was exactly what youâd expect: peppery sausage wrapped in flaky pastry. My girlfriend went with a chocolate cake to-go, which turned out to be just okay.
All in, we barely spent 30 minutes here, but it was worth the detour. Prices lean toward the higher side, but considering the craftsmanship and flavor, it's worth every rupee. The owners clearly love what they do, and it shows in every bite, even the boring ones.
If youâre looking for a quick cafe stop, or need goodies to carry home or to a party, Padaria Prazeres is a winner. Just be prepared for the cruel realization that youâll need to come back. One visit isnât enough to eat your way...
Read moreIâve always been a fan of Padaria prazeres in Panjim for its savouries and sweets, so after a long day at work yesterday, I decided to stop by. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the counter were unwelcoming and rude (which, shockingly, seems to be a recurring issue as noted in Google reviews). When I asked where I could sit, I was bluntly told to place my order first, with an added remark that it would be the last one for the day. All while the staff member was counting money, barely making eye contact or acknowledging me. The ownerâs dismissive attitude seemed to have trickled down to the counter staff, which set a negative tone. That being said, the waiter who attended to our table was pleasant and polite, which was a small saving grace. Unfortunately, the Americano and cappuccino we ordered were disappointing. The coffee beans lacked quality and the drinks just werenât up to standard. The one highlight was the carrot cake, which was delicious, but even that couldnât make up for the overall experience. It felt like we were being treated like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. This kind of attitude drives loyal patrons away and is often the slow beginning of a businessâs downfall. Just two kilometers away from this arrogant establishment is a lovely cafĂ© called Truffles, where the product is far superior and the service is warm and welcoming. Sadly, Padaria prazeres has lost a long time customer, and I wonât be returning to be treated...
