We stayed at the buena vida resorts in Sep 2024. It was an absolute pleasure staying at this resort and would rate it as the best stay that we ever had in North Goa. Here is a summary of the experience that we had. Booking - the entire booking process directly with them was a breeze. Swathi the resort manager took care of all our requests and was most kind in providing us the best room. Please do book directly well in advance with them. Location - the resort location is one of the best in the area. You have all the conveniences nearby within walking distance. Some of the best pubs bars and cafes next door or a short drive. It’s one of the best possible locations in morjim. Morjim itself is one of the best locations in North Goa combined with adjacent locations of ashwem and mandrem Parking - this is one of the few resorts in the area with a dedicated private secured parking. So you don’t have to park on the road and don’t have to worry about the security of your vehicle Ambience - if you are looking for the typical susegado Goan experience the buena vida checks all the boxes. Beautiful unobstructed views of the sea, beautiful beach beds where you can spend an eternity while sipping on a cold beverage to the sounds of music Rooms - the rooms are well appointed with all the amenities - kettle, mini freezer, wardrobes, shower accessories, ac, hot and cold water, tv(if you need one). It’s ideal size for a couple. Though given the ambience you would spend most of your time outside the rooms. Food - chef govind and team prepares some of the most sumptuous spreads that you can ask for whether it be Indian or continental. The food taste we found to be better than some of the more fancied restaurants in the vicinity Service - tanmay and naveen from the service team are virtual mind readers. They will ensure all your needs are met even before you spell it out. Naveen with his boyish charm and impeccable manners will win your heart Housekeeping - vinod (vinod kaka to all) is a superhuman, working tirelessly to ensure your rooms are always clean. He is a perfect example of the most endearing goan spirit always ready to help you and meet all your demands. For me he is the champion of the buena vida team Bar - while you are soaking in the sun the sea and the sand, Ganpat at the bar will stir up some delectable cocktails and signature mixes for you. Do indulge with him for some wonderful stories as he is an avid traveler and an adventure lover at heart The team - the buena vida team is a remarkable honest and fun bunch of people who will ensure that you have the most memorable stay. Led by the ever smiling ever friendly Parvez who is one of the nicest individuals i have met. When you talk to him you feel as if you are interacting with a dear friend. An absolute down to earth fun loving guy who is instilling the same spirit in the entire team
In a nutshell if you are looking for a home away from home kind of experience at one of the most gorgeous locations in north goa head to buena vida without a second thought. You will want to come back to it again and again, well i am going back to them for sure.
P.S. - it may seem like but it’s not a...

We spent a few dreamy days at Buena Vida Resort in Morjim in late June, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave.
It’s got just 7 beach huts (we took 5 of them!) and each one is super tastefully done with all the basics sorted — comfy beds, clean bathrooms, AC, and little sit-outs where you can just watch the sea and do absolutely nothing. Six of the huts have a front-row seat to the beach – and when I say the beach is close, I mean 30 steps from your room close. Our four super senior travellers were especially thrilled – they could enjoy the view and breeze all day long without having to “go to” the beach. The beach came to them.
The vibe of the place is peaceful, no-frills but charming, and refreshingly unlike the noisy, overbuilt resorts further south. Oh, and if you're tempted by the notorious Tomatoes lounge next door, don’t be. It's part of a chain that's consistently overrated, overpriced, and a bit too full of itself – we’ve tried it before and walked away unimpressed every time.
Now, Buena Vida’s own restaurant? Much better story. It’s in a lovely little courtyard, serves up a large multi-cuisine menu (think prawns, fish, chicken, pasta, the works), and the food is actually tasty. It’s not the place for authentic Goan or Konkani fare, though – so don’t go in expecting that. Yes, the prices are on the higher side – this isn’t a budget stay – but you kind of expect that at a boutique beach resort. That said, a group discount or meal package would’ve been a nice touch.
What really makes this place shine is the people. The staff are just wonderful – warm, attentive, and always happy to help without hovering. Special love for Poonam (the manager who makes things run smoothly without a fuss), and also Om, Aditya, Pankaj, and Lakhan (the night guard with a friendly smile and a flashlight). I have added a couple of photos of the team to thank them for their effort.
All in all, Buena Vida really lives up to its name – it’s the kind of place where you come to slow down, breathe, and fall asleep to the sound of waves. No loud music, no gimmicks, just the good life. We’ll...
Read moreMy friends, family and I stayed for 4nights here in multiple rooms. We are very happy we did. The rooms are clean, quite new and offer great value. This property attracts mostly couples, is right next to the Burger Factory and less than 2 minutes walking distance from some other places on the beach (Morjim Beach tip: Try a meal at the restaurant named Trip). The rooms are fully air conditioned with a fridge in case you need it. There’s adequate space in every room, all of which are very neat in design.
Buena Vida is located bang on the beach. I didn’t see any other property on the beach like this one. It’s ideal for anyone who loves taking a dip in the water or just bumming on the beach. (P.S. I found the Morjim beach one of the best in Goa for Adults and Children alike).
The breakfast was excellent and one could eat as much as they pleased, including the fruits and fresh juices...... and enjoy the view while relishing it. The timing for Breakfast are ideal for Goa (9-11am) and everything is made to order. So, do choose the breakfast option.
The staff here is superb. Especially the manager Priyaranjan. He was really helpful with his tips on how to move around Goa and in getting anything done. He’s also an excellent conversationalist. A real gem!
One very good thing about the property is that, unlike few other properties, they don’t add their own margin on top of the taxi fare that they order for you. All my dealings with them were quick, transparent, and hassle free. I really felt that I could trust them and wouldn’t be fleeced when I stay with them. That’s a great feeling to have when one goes on a holiday. I really appreciate that. All in all this is a great place run by really nice and professional people. I see them being sold out a lot in the future. Especially by returning patrons. I would stay here again for certain. Thanks for your hospitality...
