Marron Sea View Resort — Hotel in Goa

For such a beautiful and well researched location, Marron Seaview resort does not dissappoint you for its location & beautiful view of the sea, you chose the right resort, or I dare say, more expensive rooms. The food is delicious & the 2nd highlight of the resort along with the wonderful service. The same however could not be said about the resort itself. The rooms I don't know why, but do not have any mirrors (mirror is only in bathroom and inconvenient) . There is a closet with locker as given in the booking website however there are no hair driers as mentioned. A lot is left to be desired as basic amenities are missing in the best of their rooms like 1) no telephone 2) no room service 3) no tea coffee maker 4) there was a pair of small medimix soap and clinic plus shampoo sachet in the name of toileteries 5) no soap dish in the shower or even a shower gel bottle, no place where you can keep a soap 6) there was no mosquito net as described in booking.com or their own website. 7) There is a mini refrigerator however no mini bar as mentioned. Ideally the resort deserves a 2 star, the 3rd is just becaue of the fantastic restaurant service (Bikas & Bishal with a B) and good food. The breakfast options are extremely limited in the buffet instead ala carte has better breakfast options all in all the selling point of marron sea view is its location. Right at the beginning of Palolem beach which makes it more of a private setting, very close to the art resort next door where most of the foreigners check in. Nonetheless if you have chosen South Goa and palolem for your vacation, you have anyways made the right choice. If you are a coffee person, there is no ground, filter or machine coffee that we could find there. So carried the ID readymade coffee decoction & ordered warm milk, made our own coffee. Hi Everyone, We want to share true feedback about this property and believe that below feedback will help you to make decisions about your stay at this property. Marron sea view resort: We were very excited about this property as we thought we would be enjoying our stay peacefully along with sea view but we have had the pathetic experience staying in this resort. Only except the sea view location there was nothing good about this place. First of all, the property has hardly 2-3 rooms which actually have a sea facing view, rest you will get no or partial sea view. We got a partial sea facing room at the price of full sea facing room price and believe us there is no benefit of taking a partial sea facing room as you won’t be able to enjoy the view. We also noticed there were customers who were complaining about the same issue. Resort staff (all, reception etc.) was not so friendly and welcoming. They charged ~INR 5000 (inclusive taxes) for one night but there were no basic amenities available within the room like a hot water kettle, T.V. , intercom. Since there is no intercom, so you have to go to reception for any sort of complaint or any other things. No proper water supply within the bathroom, we had to go downstairs(reception) so many times to complain about the water supply. Rooms are made of wood, even there was noise when somebody was walking within the room above our room. So we couldn’t even sleep properly because of this. Food quality and taste was pathetic at the resort restaurant. In nutshell this was the pathetic experience we have ever had.

Had a reservation for 23rd - 25th Feb 2021 and paid 10K+ for 2 nights stay Let's first appreciate good things. Location - you can't ask for a better location at Palolem Food - If you are a non-vegetarian you have plenty of options and food is tasty is what I heard.

Disappointments Room - Booked a luxurious sea view cottage, there was nothing luxurious. Half of the sea view was blocked by other cottages No phones in the room so walk to the reception if you need anything I had to walk to reception to tell them there is no water and they started the water pump Bathroom stinked probably due to where the septic tank was placed. Bath fixtures were broken and even after complaints they didn't fix it. Water in the room was hard - I used bottled water to brush my teeth A 1ton AC for such a large room isn't good enough Fridge was non-functional No water kettle in the room No Tea/Coffee provisions in the room Restaurant starts at 8 am so good luck having your early morning tea/coffee Restaurant closes at 10:30 and remember you are in goa, everything stays open till 12 The door didn't lock properly and I had no confidence to leave any valuables inside. Restaurant won't serve food in the room. Vegetarian food was bland, Veg kohlapuri (supposed to be spicy, 1 of 2-3 veg options available) had no spice.

Not an experience I would want to experience again. I would never recommend this place to anyone PATHETIC...
