We booked, through Booking.Com, to spend two nights here on the 19th and 20th March. Our booking was for two huts which were on stilts above the bar area with views along the beach. ||We understood that the accommodation, huts on the beach were non-luxury and on the basic side. Even in basic accommodation there are certain levels of standards to be maintained. ||The description of the huts and facilities provided had some difference with the reality. ||The entrance to the hut was through a glass sliding door this was secured by a padlock and hasp, there was one outside and one inside. The same padlock was used to secure the room from the inside and outside. ||The four poster element of the bed, supporting the mosquito net, were pieces of wood crudely nailed to each corner of the bed. There was no real point in having a mosquito net if it did not close over because it was incorrectly hung and there were large tears in the net. ||The electrics connecting the air-conditioning unit were definitely a bit suspect and very rusted, not impressed with the health and safety aspects of that. It was mounted on a marine plywood wall which vibrated when air-conditioning was in use. There was no fan in the room. ||The small fridge in the hut was also rather rusted. ||The floor covering in the bedroom was like a heavy duty felt like fabric. The joins in the fabric were not stuck down so the fabric was curled up so creating a potential hazard.|The bathroom with its tiled floor consisted of a toilet, washbasin and shower. The washbasin was a glass bowl on a freestanding unit, did not appear to be attached to the wall, a bit wobbly. Both were covered in soap and water marks. The tiled area for the shower was uneven and one evening while showering I cut my toe on the tiles. There was a lot of limescale around the shower. ||There were towels provided as well as a bar of soap, the price on the wrapper was 3 Rupees, it smelt like floor cleaner. Would definitely recommend bringing your own toiletries. ||The best feature of the hut was the bed and it's duvet, which were comfortable. ||When booking the information about the huts stated that each one had a locker, which we assumed to be a secure place to lock valuables. This was not the case, it was a crudely constructed structure with a pole for hanging things up and a shelf. There were no doors on the unit so there was no secure place in the hut. ||One morning we did have breakfast downstairs in the restaurant, not great, reviewed separately. ||Although in a great location we felt the amount we were charged was over the top for...

Read more1 million Stars! Definitely the BEST beach bar in Palolem!
First off, we visited this place 6 days out of 6...the drinks are great!!!The service from the staff is outstanding!!! The food is delicious!!! The vibes they create are chilled beach vibes during the day, and great Ibiza let yourself loose in the evening, and you can also have a relaxing meal under the stars!
Best thing is you can use the sun bed free, just buy a drink once and a while...you don't feel pressured over it, its just nice to chat to bar staff and get to know what's happening around Palolem, they're full of local knowledge.
Evening food is incredible, the fish vindaloo is not spicy! Its full of flavour and recommend that dish, the chef has serious great skills in the kitchen!
Small local clothes shop next door ran by a lovely Indian lady selling great Goa shirts, yoga pants, hippy things...visit her for your Goa present, great price, cheap and range of clothes.
Seriously...if your not already on your way over, you should be packing your sun cream and head there as soon as possible!
To the bar staff...thank you for making a lovely Palolem beach hoilday into an amazing experience and see you in the future for more sun soaking sun bed times and drinks...shout out to Hemand who made us feel like family evertime we came back...Legend
Wish you all the best...keep doing what your doing as...
