Rivasa Emerald — Hotel in Goa

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction regarding our stay at Hotel Rivasa Emerald, where we checked in on the 23rd of November. Regrettably, our experience thus far has been utterly disappointing due to a series of significant shortcomings that have severely impacted our vacation.

Firstly, the hotel lacks even the most basic amenities, such as shower gel and shampoo. The towels provided are unhygienic and emit an unpleasant odor, which is unacceptable. Moreover, there is no provision for 24-hour hot water—a fundamental requirement for any reputable establishment.

Additionally, there is no proper dustbin available, a crucial necessity, particularly for women during menstruation. The drinking water provided is of substandard quality, sourced from local, unbranded suppliers.

The breakfast service, which was included in our package, is subpar, with the excuse that there is insufficient stock of essential items such as fruits. This reflects poor management and a lack of preparation.

Furthermore, the staff has been uncooperative and unresponsive to our concerns, which we raised immediately upon arrival. Despite bringing these issues to their attention, no resolution has been provided, and we are left feeling neglected and frustrated.

We are currently in discussions with MakeMyTrip to arrange for a change of accommodation, as we have paid in advance and feel that our time is being wasted dealing with unprofessional staff. This experience has tarnished what was supposed to be an enjoyable vacation, despite the considerable amount we paid...

We stayed for 4nights 5 days in May..

About the room : Room size is decent , Initially Ac was not working properly..then we asked them to change room. Then new room had better working ac. shower is awesome . Washroom is smaller then it appears in image.

No balconies so u cannot dry clothes post coming from beach.

They give complimentary shampoo pouch - Sunsilk Black n medimix soap only. No conditioner or moisturizes. Toothpaste n tooth brush.

In room their was a small fridge, sockets were missing so we moved it to other location to use it .

TV channels : limited channels showcase that too they recharge almost everyday after reminder.

Room service is ok they come when you ask for help.

Light / Electricity goes n comes so powercut happens but less than 5 mins it comes.

Door locks were strange and key get stuck.

Breakfast is 1.5 star. They had poha , watermelon , omlet bread , noodle as options..

Every day 1 water bottle per room is complimentary above that is chargeable.

It has decent swiming pool 5 ft height wd shower area.

When you will check in they will ask you full cash, which was little strange . Water was ok but pool didn't had continuous cleaning machine.

Do not book any added services from hotel like bike , cruise or water activities. They are costly than market.

Calangute beach was 2.5 km Baga beach was roughly 3.5 km Parking is underground. You can park bikes in front in day time .

If you check at night then look for hotel name as sign board is...

Worst service I ever had Rooms are full of ants Receptionist specially male doent have manners to talk to the customers. They don't stick on their commitments They will tell you on phone yes for everything so that you can pay advance Once you have made the payment they don't give a fish about you No information about Early check- in charges If u check out little late from 11 am Extra charges will be implied without even informing you about the same. On call they will not tell about anything Once you did advance booking will be stuck as no service will be provided to you If u don't like the stay your money is stuck and no refund policy after all this mess And break fast is so pathetic We stayed their for 6 nights Nothing as expected worth of the price we spend for the room Please don't even think of taking the breakfast as it is useless. Their owner is a female we spoke too She is rude, arrogant , disrespectful , uses abusive language They don't know single word of customer service I hope no one else get fooled like we got.
