We were there for 5 days. The good thing is this resort is very close to the quiet mandrem beach.
The wooden cottages are poorly lit and smelly. We had an incident where there were bugs inside our cottage. Literally cockroaches came out of holes. The hotel offered other room but only for 1 night. This completely ruined my experience. Imagine coming back to resort after tiring day and you see cockroaches on table and all over your cupboard. The staff sprayed anti cockroach spray but that was about it. There were not apologetic about it. If you can, avoid the wooden cottages. They are horrible inside.
The TVs are completely broken, tata-sky does not work. ACs are about 10 years old with broken remotes. It was a task itself to turn on AC. Toilets were average. The flush didn't feel powerful enough. The floor tiles are dark and honestly speaking, these cottages turned my mood completely off. Bathroom had cheap medimix and dove shampoos. No body wash. The shower had half the holes blocked.
Food: Average and bland. It is tailored for foreign guests and tastes bland. Had to request staff for custom ginger ale tea.
Drinks: Staff generally offers glasses etc. Drinks are little expensive as compared to outer areas.
Location: If you want to explore Panjim, Calangute, Candolim, please avoid this place. A normal scooty/car drive to these locations is approx 1.5 hrs long. The roads that lead to this place from Mapusa are scary and poorly lit at night.
Beach: Mandrem beach is peaceful and very clean. Shacks are free for hotel guests. Make sure to tell the waiters that you are indeed a guest here.
Internet Connectivity: Only Jio has good coverage in area. WiFi speed is max 1-2Mb/s.
Room Service: Room service (by calling reception) is not available. you have to manually go and tell them to order something
General ambience is decent. A river is in front of resort. Lots of palm trees. Mornings are generally fresh. There's a temple in back. Loud music is played there during festivals.
Overall stay experience 1/5. Please improvise your wooden cottages or stop...
Read moreDuring my recent stay at the cottage rooms of this hotel, I was deeply disappointed by the appalling conditions I encountered. The state of the rooms was extremely subpar, with a severe termite infestation evident throughout. To my dismay, I even discovered a small lizard in my room, which was quite unsettling and added to the overall discomfort.
Adding to the unpleasant experience, the tap water in the room was of poor quality, emitting brown, muddy water. This not only made it unsuitable for bathing but also raised concerns about its safety for basic hygiene purposes. Such unsanitary conditions are completely unacceptable and pose a risk to the health and well-being of the guests, particularly women who may have specific safety concerns.
To make matters worse, the behavior of the staff was highly unprofessional and concerning. During the night, it became evident that several members of the staff were intoxicated, which not only compromised the level of service provided but also raised questions about the safety and security of the guests. This lack of professionalism and disregard for guest well-being is deeply troubling and completely unacceptable.
In conclusion, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. The cottage rooms were infested with termites and even had a lizard, the tap water was discolored and unsuitable for use, and the staff displayed unprofessional behavior by being intoxicated during the night. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever visited. I would strongly advise against staying here and hope that the management takes immediate and necessary measures to address these issues and ensure the well-being and satisfaction of...
Read moreA place for pure relaxing!! This beach shack resort is one of the places we continue to return to year after year. The huts are well maintained (and some new ones have just been built) and spacious. You can chose to stay in a hut or the brick rooms (all have AC), we've stayed in both and each has it's advantages, huts give a more tradtional feeling and brick ones more of an apartment feeling. ||The resturant has a good selection of food and would cater to all tastes, they pretty much do all style of food so there will be something for everyone. You can either chose to eat in the main resturant or down at the resturant on the beach itself, or on your sunbed if you so wish. Each day there is fish and prawns on offer which is shown to you on a plater, you chose what you require and they will ask how you want it done i.e masla, garlic butter, tandor etc and at what time you require it ready for which is great as you just turn up to a table at the required time and your dinner is ready!||Sunbeds are down on the beach and are very relaxing, you feel safe as there is alway staff within that area and they will look after their guests. They even do massages! ||The staff I think make this a much enjoyable place to visit, they're always happy and very helpful and will ensure you enjoy your stay. ||Thank you again Sea Paradise team for another amazing stay at your beautiful and relaxing beach shacks - we'll be back again on our next...
