Hangout Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

I would like to share my story ...we all cousins a group of 8 with 4 kids were walking on mandrem Beach around 7 pm in search of a good shack on Dec 26 . And from nowhere VISHNU the owner of hangout came to us and politely told all his USPs and asked us to give his shack a chance to serve .initially hesitant we finally decided to settle but asked can he arrange a camp fire and arrangement of tables to sit on beach ..with in no time he did both ..our group was veg _ and non veg so we also made sure he has all stuff not only sea food ..all dishes ordered were prepared as we wanted and delicious . His tandoori items are equally good as his seafood and veg as his chef is from himachal. Best part is peanut Masala which is hardly available in shacks og goa Cocktails were equally good Dal khichdi for kids was awesome Prawns and chicken was delicious as told by my wife and cousins ..ambience and service is top class. Me and my wife stayed for 3 weeks in 1 of their 2 bungalows (rooms also available) and we loved every minute! The staf is super friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. The food is truly amazing and very affordable and our bungalow directly at the beach with private bathroom was spacious and clean. Mosquito netting included. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant romantic. Its located a little away from the sea so you have free view and no people passing by. There is no music late in the evening. They offer beds with parasols at the beach for free in addition and service foods and drinks as well. Prices for accomodation and food are very reasonable in our opinion. Loved our stay and created unforgettable memories here 💕 Its not reachable by car but a 100 meter walk away your taxi can bring you and pick you up...

Worst place, horrible staff Rude, money-minded and lack of basic hospitality, or courtesy. Staff kept pushing to order things we dont want. Their focus was only to get more on tab. Doesn't matter if you are a repeat customer or if you spent good money there before, they will judge you on every order and dont hesitate to make rude comments. They would never behave like this with any foreigners. Very poor mentality.

(And its ironic that the servers keep chasing people walking on beach to come sit on their shack, given the low crowd this time. One would expect a decent hospitality, if not out of manners, then out of rationale.)

All in all, Ruined my mood, and day. Don't recommend. Go if you want to risk getting exposed to trash behaviour. Nearby...
