Didn’t have a good experience, would not recommend anyone to book here.
This hotel is nothing like an ITC hotel, didn’t feel like we stayed in a 5-star. Hospitality needs to be improved. The aura of the hotel didn’t feel welcoming right from the get-go.
We had pre-booked our stay(executive suite) and paid fully in advance, still our room wasn’t ready. In fact, the front desk manager tried to manipulate us by giving us options of a lower category room(fortune club) and saying that they are much nicer. We were also showed one room of executive suite category, however it was not the view we had booked for. Mind you, all the room options they showed us were priced at much lesser than what we had paid. When we agreed upon choosing to stay in the fortune club room, the manager didn’t do anything to adjust the pricing for us, which we requested for. We had an extra adult with us, he said we can only manage that extra 1 bedding expense. There was still a large difference in what we had already paid.
the manager was not willing to take any responsibility for not having our room ready. In fact his exact words were, “I cannot be blamed if the room is not ready”
the manager tried to manipulate us by showing us lesser priced alternatives for the executive suite. And by telling us that this is the only solution he has.
we waited for almost an hour to check-in to our pre-booked and fully paid room (we finally checked-in at fortune club room)
there was a 16K (plus taxes) difference in the room pricing, upon asking for adjustment in what we had already paid, the manager rudely said “I cannot do anything in this!” We requested that it wasn’t fair, he said okay I’ll give an extra 20% discount on F&B that we will avail during our stay. He portrayed to us as if he was doing us a favour.
Later we checked in our booking details that we already had a 20% discount on F&B at the hotel. Again, an example of the manager misleading us. He said I will call you to your room and let you know of what else I can do for you, which obviously he never called us.
During checkout, when we requested again to adjust the amount (cause we had paid 16K more as per the room category) , the manager finally deducted 500/- from our total bill. That’s it. He couldn’t give us the room we initially booked for, he couldn’t adjust our final billing also and just said there’s nothing he can do. It is what it is.
We asked the manager to help us with pick up and drop cab. The rates of which were too high, 4000/- for pick up and drop for a place that was just 20 mins away from the hotel. This 3rd party cab service was recommended to us by this same manager only. We asked the manager to negotiate on our behalf with the cab driver, and the manager said ‘No’ directly to us. Later, we got to know from the driver that he had to pay a commission to that manager. FYI, the cab service/driver were also very bad, poor experience on that too.
we also checked with the manager for airport drop. This was a different manager, one at night duty. Free airport pick up and drop comes with booking an executive suite. He didn’t arrange for that, just told us that the hotel cab is not free and that he can arrange from a third party cab service. By that time we knew what it meant, they all trying to make extra bucks from commissions on cab booking for their own hotel guests. To add on, the swimming pool was dirty, not maintained. Not in a condition to be used. Only 1 small elevator in working condition. There was shortage of staff, and of well trained people at the hotel.
Such was the experience of our stay at the ITC Fortune Landmark Hotel, Ahmedabad. Would never book here again, worst hospitality ever. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone traveling...

At hotel fortune landmark , our stay was a delightful experience. The staff went above and beyond to please the guests and we were taken care of very well. The accommodation manager (VP) Mr Rahul Ghag arranged a pleasant surprise of a Room upgrade for us with chocolates, cookies, nuts and some snacks waiting for us in the room. Ms. Manisha from the reception has an extremely charming and professional attitude towards guests and she helped us with late check-in during our 5 night stay here. My missus was feeling sick and Ms. Manisha promptly arranged for a hot water bag for her which was a great gesture.
The restaurant manager at zodiac Mr Nagendra (from Mysore) is a fantastic personality as he initiates warm and cordial conversations with guests to make them feel at home. Even small requests like coffee style is handled by him personally while Ms Remi arranged for Poha, khandvi and customised coffee for us on a few occasions. Not to forget Mr Aman at the breakfast buffet as he was very polite but attentive to our needs. The food is top notch quality and the selection of buffet items are versatile and interesting.
Mr. Kamlesh tiwari(From Uttarakhand) At Earthen Owen arranged for a beautiful anniversary cake with flower arrangement for us and reserved a special table overseeing the Sabarmati river from the top floor of the hotel. Chef negi ram prepared sumptuous finger licking food for us and the fresh Rabdi is to die for. Our personal wait staff Mr. Rahul Looked after us zealously and provided us with a round of complimentary mocktails.
The staff like Mr. Mithilesh from earthen Owen and porter Mr. VAJERAM are the soul of this hotel who have been working here for 20+ years and given their life and blood to this warm hotel experience.
Overall the staff is exceptionally helpful and informative. And they have an impressive zeal to serve you. All this is possible with the personal attention of the GM Mr. Anil Tripathi Hotel Location is great, and tariff is extreme value for money Lastly, I would suggest a quick refresh of the carpets in the corridors that would improve the outlook of the property manifolds.
