Nestled gracefully along Ashram Road, the Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad stands as an epitome of opulence which was nothing short of enchanting, and it is with great delight that I share the myriad aspects of this remarkable experience.
The very first convenience was abundant parking ensuring a smooth and stress-free arrival experience for every guest.
It stands as a veritable culinary haven, offering a delightful array of dining options that cater to diverse palates. From the warm and inviting coffee shop to the sensory journey through pan-Asian flavors and the immersive experience of a traditional Gujarati thali, leave an indelible mark. The food, within the exclusive club area reserved for privileged guests occupying higher-category rooms, consistently exhibits a fusion of exquisite quality and tantalizing flavors.
During my stay, I had the privilege of partaking in the Independence Day celebration near poolside area. The decorative adornments and arrangements w truly commendable. The breakfast spread laid out for the guests during this event was nothing short of spectacular, offering a gastronomic journey that delighted the senses.
Gratitude is owed to the hotel's management, who ensured that my experience was elevated with a room upgrade. The rooms themselves are not merely spaces for repose; they are sanctuaries of comfort, characterized by their spaciousness, pristine cleanliness, and tasteful décor with a panoramic view of the serene river that unfolds beyond the windows, adding an extra layer of serenity to one's stay.
A special commendation is due to the housekeeping team, whose dedication to maintaining the common areas and individual rooms in an immaculate condition was consistently evident. Under the able leadership of Nitu Shah, this team, comprising the diligent efforts of Prerna, Naveen, Kuldeep, Rohit, and Monika, demonstrated unwavering readiness to provide top-notch service, regardless of the hour, always accompanied by a welcoming smile.
Special Acknowledgments: It is with profound gratitude that I extend special acknowledgments to several individuals who played pivotal roles in making my stay truly exceptional. Foremost among these is Anshita Detha, the Human Resources Manager, whose patience and unwavering assistance were instrumental throughout the booking process.
Additionally, the housekeeping team, led by Nitu Shah, deserves profound appreciation for their relentless efforts in ensuring the hotel remains spotless and pristine.
The security team, featuring the vigilant presence of Gaurav, Shiv Singh, Himanshu Kumar, and Mukesh, provided unwavering and helpful assistance.
The valet parking team, under the efficient guidance of Sushil Dubey, and security guards Kuldeep and Avdhesh consistently exhibited promptness and effectiveness.
The front office manager, Sanjay Sengupta Ji, and his dedicated team including ritika, shubham and sagar ensured a seamless and expedited check-in process. Notably, Kiran, who went above and beyond to ensure our utmost comfort, deserves a special mention.
My interactions with Pankaj Kumar Ji (banquets), Ranjana (PR executive), Sajal (Team Leader), and Sopan during my business meetings at the hotel were highly commendable and contributed positively to my experience. At Tinello, where Chef Laxman's culinary artistry stood out. His special preparations for my children left an indelible mark. Tanvi, Gaurav, and Simon provided impeccable service.
While I was tempted to deduct a star from my rating due to the hotel's lackluster social media handling team, which remained unresponsive, I ultimately bestowed the full five stars that this establishment genuinely deserves. It is my firm belief that the hotel's unwavering commitment to love and exceptional service for its guests should not be marred by a lack of responsiveness in its social media engagement.
My overall experience at the Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad was nothing short of fabulous, and I wholeheartedly endorse it as a highly recommended destination for...
Read moreI am a frequent traveler from UK to Ahmadabad and always stay at Fortune ITC but felt to try the Hyatt Regency Ahmadabad for the first time as it had the advantage of having a good size swimming pool. Swimming is my passion and i guess my decision was based around this. The swimming pool is amazing - definitely the hotel to be in if you are wanting a relaxed evening or enough space to swim in. Its generally quiet in the morning as the sun is directly on the pool between 9-1pm and then sets on the other side giving the pool shade. The breakfast had a good selection, the fruits i found were not as fresh as i would have liked. Room service i found was a little slow, sometimes i would have to phone twice.
My first impressions were not that great as i didn't feel a feeling of welcome and my review for this hotel was going to be a 2 star but things changed when a issue arose for me.
In the SPA I had spoken to a gentleman to book a massage and he advised that the earliest he could do would be 6pm as that's when the treatments started. So i requested if it was possible to do 5pm. He advised that he would speak to the manager and come back to me within a hour. This was at 10am and i hadn't heard from him so i went to the spa again to find Dr Gaurai who told me she was the manager. I asked her if she was aware of the gentleman informing her of my request and in a very arrogant high tone pitch she said she is the manager and to speak to her directly. That's absolutely fine but the point i was trying to make was that why my request was not passed on? Could it be that its happening to others?
I would like to think that i am as positive as one can be but the pride i could see straight though Dr Gaurai was shocking. It was like a can of coke bursting, she had no value for my custom. From the bottom of my heart i have never come across such a arrogant lady, no doubt its the "Dr" title that is perhaps intoxicating her but she made me feel to leave the hotel but i remained patient as i wouldn't like to stoop to that level. I found her way of dealing with customers is not right. However, i will be very fair here as she must have made a gentlemen named Sanjay Sengupta aware of what happened. So whilst in a meeting in my room i received a call from him mentioning what had happened. This changed everything. They didn't brush the issue under the carpet but instead attended to it. I discussed this with Puneet, the GM (general manager) who explained to me in detail why the treatments are starting at 6pm - a very humble person i must say. After this i was treated with royalty (not that i needed it) and got my treatment at the time i requested it. If you have a genuine problem, this hotel will sort it. I very much look forward to staying...
Read moreIt's been a while since I visited Hyatt Regency due to my previous not so good experience with their food..., but as I heard about the authentic Italian cusine with Chef Alessio from Italy I thought I should give it a try. My family and I were so excited to finally taste some authentic Italian food in Ahmedabad, but we all got very disappointed! Except for 3 ready made dishes at the buffet all other were tasteless! Unfortunately pastas and pizza were prepared by Indian Chef. First we tried white sauce pasta, which was totally tasteless and sauce consistency was like water - tasteless white water! Red pasta was better but not perfect. Penne should be cooked aldente! Aldente means that pasta should be firm when bitten but not hard, and this one was a bit too hard. Pizza was just ok. Authentic Italian pizza, even simplest one have some flavour, but not this one! If it was supposed to be an Italian cousine experience with an Italian Chef, then why wasn't it prepared by the Italian Chef? I'm sorry but Indian Chef doesn't know how to cook Italian food! For desert we ordered Tiramisu, thinking that at least we can sweaten our tasteless experience with lunch, but that was the worst Tiramisu we ever had! It was overly sweet and cream wasn't thick enough....I mean, I have no nwords, who adds so much sugar to Tiramisu? It is not an Indian sweet! When I mentioned that to the staff and Chef I was told that this is how people like to eat Tiramisu in here... well if so, then it should not be called Tiramisu anymore! When you promise an authentic experience then it should be authentic! Don'make your own inventions and call it authentic Italian food! Extremely dissapointing! The staff service was pathetic. We had to ask continuously for the food as it took a lot of time, and no one would clean and clear the dirty plates from the table. It was a waste of time and money! One expects better from a...
