I stayed here from 22nd Nov until 24th Nov and I can certainly state that my experience has not been the best, but almost worst! I've stayed in many hotels in Ahmedabad and importantly I have had multiple stays in the hotel bang opposite to this one, which is the Fairfield Marriott hotel. I was looking for an upgrade and I was disappointed to find the upgrade only in the Price and nothing else. First off, the checking in took more time than usual, even when the reception was practically empty. They offered a welcome drink after the checking in was done and we were on our way to the lift, as if they thought we'd run away even before checking out. The rooms- now this was the better part, the rooms are really cozy and well done and they are a huge upgrade versus the usual Marriott rooms that I am used to staying. The Bed, Linen, Pillows- SUPERB. The housekeeping standards are acceptable too. Another big reason to explore this property was the high expectations that one has from an ITC property about Food, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that this establishment falls short in terms of both food quality and service levels. First and foremost, the food was a major letdown. The menu boasted a variety of dishes, but the execution was subpar at best. The flavors were lacklustre, and the overall quality of the ingredients used left much to be desired. It's disheartening when you anticipate a delightful culinary experience and are met with mediocrity instead. The service was most disappointing. The staff Ms. Minati appeared disinterested and unmotivated, displaying a lack of attentiveness that was hard to overlook. During dinner I had ordered for an Indian bread- Missi Roti and had placed the order well in advanced to the service attendant- Ms. Minati and by the time I left ,disappointed with my meal unfinished after waiting for the Roti to show up, THE ROTI NEVER ARRIVED. All this while I tried to bring this to the notice of a supposedly senior member of the team Ms. Gargee and all I received was just lip service. Looks like the staff here are just good at making promises and never deliver. My colleagues who had ordered a simple Green Tea at the breakfast buffet were only served tea after 4 reminders. Overall the kitchen and serving staffs are a huge let down and they just seemed to take care of only a handful guests. Thus, excruciatingly long waiting periods, Empty water glasses and neglected tables were a common sight throughout the restaurant, reflecting a lack of commitment to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. What truly shocked me was the indifference shown by the management when I attempted to address my concerns. I said to Ms. Gargee that I will escalate this to the site GM, and all she kept saying was that she will attend and serve the expected dish, BUT IT NEVER CAME. I expressed my dissatisfaction with both the food quality and service levels, hoping for a resolution or at least an acknowledgment of the issues. To my dismay, my concerns were met with apathy. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority at this ITC property. In any dining experience, the ability to address and rectify issues is crucial. Unfortunately, here the lack of concern for customer feedback and the apparent disregard for improving their shortcomings overshadowed any potential for redemption. I tried asking the name of the General Manager who was in charge of running this place, but the name was not shared by anyone from this team. I did find the name though and it is a certain Mr. Vivek Bhardwaj. Sir- Pl pay attention here, food connoisseurs come to ITC to enjoy a sumptuous meal and not for...
Read moreThe location is accessible from everywhere in Ahmedabad.. As it is on Ashram Road, which is the heart of the city.
Food : the buffet menu was okay.. Not so attractive.. And not at all worth the money we spent.. They allow us to enter even at 10:45 pm and then suddenly they start closing down at 11 pm.. The staff was cooperative & supportive in the restaurant, but a lady in formal clothes was very authoritive.. She behaved like they were giving us free food, while we were paying almost 1250/- per person for the buffet dinner... At the strike of 11, she came up, removed all name plates from near all dishes, in anger, and then left away for other works..!!! This was so rude and mean.. She just intended to say that they were closing down.. Was this the way for a 5-star level hotel staff to behave..?? The other staff people were co-operative and polite.. They informed us & requested us to take all that we wanted in our dishes, so that they can then start winding up.. They were so polite.. But before we could understand anything, the storm of that dark lady in formals, came and just took off all name plates of dishes, while banging them in anger... She did nothing else..!!! And then the food was all there, till half an hour more.. But we were reluctant to take it without names and veg/non-veg tags, as we are pure vegetarian and could not then differentiate veg & non-veg food without name tags.. I was wondering what was the purpose of just removing name tags and behaving so rudely to the customers you've already taken in.. If you were getting so late, then stop taking customers at 10:30 itself... Why allow them, and then misbehave..??? Atleast those whom you've taken in, should be allowed to take their dinner peacefully, as they are paying fully for it - not even partially or free..!! Hospitality business does have this thin line of difference between being particular and being hospitable, which each hotellier should understand and make his staff understand too..!!
I hope this will be noticed by the concerned...
Read moreMy wife and I are touring India from Canada. We have so far visited Mumbai, Kerala and Goa. This was our fourth stop before heading to Places in Rajistan. We arrived on 26th. We were a little early and were told have a sit and would be 30-45 minutes. After an hour the young man had forgotten about us. I went back to the desk and were checked in however our suitcase had been sent to another room. The desk manager Mr. Harman offered to send tea to our room however forgot. Our room had not really been cleaned just bed made. No supply and the bathroom had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and right way we had two people for cleaning and supplies. However our tea never arrived. When I went down I saw the Mr. Harman and asked apparently he had gotten busy and forgot. He offered us dinner but since we were leaving I told him we would be back about 4.30-5.00. He said he would be around. Well guess what he wasn’t. We went had our dinner. I left a message at front desk to get him to call me no call. I saw him twice next day said hello but either he didn’t remember or didn’t want to acknowledge. Reason for my “5” for service is because despite the manager’s oversight the service provided by other staff has been amazing Ajay in the dinning room and Minati are both awesome and great. The other staff whenever we have called front desk our needs have been very quickly met and addressed. I believe other than Mr. Harman all other staff have been awesome and amazing thus a “5” review. Room is ok definitely not a 5 star more like a 3 star. I would also say overall this hotel more like a 3 star as compared to Canadian hotels or other hotels we have to india Mumbai, Kerala, Goa etc. Hotel was booked by our...
