hello
need to share great experience that we had at the westin Gurgaon
My parents who are senior citizens did check into the hotel on 25th march and it was special day as they were planning to celebrate by late birthday.
and need to share such an exemplary service that they received at the property which made them a genuine admirer and a patron and its due to all the following staff and team members of the hotel.
firstly
Tanya mehrotra Restaurant manager @seasonal taste She is exceptional and a true hospitality professional. the foundation of hospitality business is how you make one feel and surely she made my parents feel special and took care of them as fabulous host. With age the expectations of us change and we become more critical and also more stringent of what we expect but on the contrary my parents were totally enchanted by the experience. its all due to her personal touch. Westin management shes a gem and a asset to the organization as she has won me and my family over as customer for life. Do recognize and appreciate her.
Neha Sharma front office associate very hospitable and a pleasant individual as one needs to have at the reception. She is mature to understand that customer and she made an effort to make sure that all the needs and expectations of us were met. Also she went the extra mile to see that even after checkin that we were comfortable. She is a capable individual and can be seasoned into a great hospitality professional. wish her all the best.
Arjun singh assistant restaurant manager
Arjun us again fabulous and a very courteous hospitality personal….. he took great care of my elderly parents and also went an extra mile to make sure that they were happy and satisfied with the experience. surely he made them feel special and he deserves all the respect and recognition.
Dishant baria Chef
Dishant made sure that my parents get what they wanted as with age the needs change as per eating is concerned and sometimes it needs personal care and interest from chef for the preparation. I am totally appreciative of the fact that he did everything possible to make my parents satisfied and get what they required
Pradeep singh Jr chef
pradeep did fill in the shoes as dishant and they are a great team with collaboration to make the experience superior
Deepak kumar, Sahil, Tinku, bhadrash
grateful to all of them for serving my parents with a smile. They all are doing a great job
last but not least need to mention
Loveneet from club westin membship team
he is a capable individual and rightly placed as a supervisor/ manager above the first end contact to the club westin. As i was facing an issue if getting a reservation for the stay and it was continuing for few months as there was no proper response or ownership and it just wasting of time and it almost lead to me being almost anti of the westin experience but he took the ownership and rectified everything. he’s a true professional and understands the value of mutual respect and timely addressal of issue
so this is to recognize and thank Westin as brand and hotel chain for doing such a commendable job through its invaluable staff all of them that i mentioned.
I hope that this feeling and responsibility of hospitality will be ingrained in all your staff and team members…..
true a remarkable experience and shall recommend westin 100% to every traveller and...
Read moreI booked 2 nights @ Westin Gurgaon and before making the final reservation; I went and checked reviews on TripAdvisor & saw that 3 Recent reviews were a little not so good. Still knowing the property I went ahead with the reservation.
At the time of my checkin I was greeted by Ms Priya, the guest relations manager; and I would like to really complement her on her managerial as well as customer satisfaction skills. She was one of the prime reasons for my rating of 10/10. She was always on her toes & left no stones unturned to see that a guest is satisfied.
My reason to book this property was my son's birthday who was turning 6; so I had earlier called & spoken to the duty manager (who happened to be Ms. Priya) to see if some decoration can be done in the room to make it special for the little one. The room was decorated with Baloons; towel swans and some Rose Petals. My son was really exited to see the same and enjoyed playing with the balloons in the room and while enjoying his bath in the bath tub.
I have stayed in many hotels worldwide & Marriott is one of my favourite chains & have always stayed with JW. In fact made a reservation for my brother & his family for similar occasion at JW aero City. Now after comparing both properties, I would like to give 1 extra point to Westin Gurgaon just because of the customer service level provided by Priya & team.
Similarly; the food at seasonal tastes was great however the services were a little slow & not upto the mark. All the pink & white shirt guys were like trainees & made the experience not so good. They lack the essence of Marriott. I was so glad when steward Karan (black dress) waited on my table. I could see the difference in the level of service, this was what one would expect.
In evening time, restaurant was comparatively less occupied, chef Dishant was meeting the guests to check if all was well & upto the mark. He was very courteous & ensured that the tastes of everything was great in evening as well as in dinner.
Next morning, met Chef Santosh offered to make a special paneer prantha (Indian bread stuffed with cottage cheese). Though all the food was good, i could see the difference filled by love & care.
This was my son's birthday. Ms. Priya, remembered the same & came down to wish him Happy birthday. Small gesture showing the Indian sprit of Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is like God).
All in all it was a lovely staycation. I'd love to recommend...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The property is in the heart of the city. The public areas are well maintained and are picturesque, be it the scenic driveway or the pool area. The property on the looks of it seems to be perfect but, the devil lies in the details. The check-in was smooth. I had booked a deluxe room and had been upgraded to the next category as part of the package. The room was bland as per my expectations. I did not expect anything extraordinary but sometimes the room did not even hit the ordinary mark. The room was spacious at 40sqm it is one of the biggest in the city next only to Hyatt Regency which is on the outskirts. This airy and spacious room came with a comfy bed and essential furniture. The toiletries were good and they were not stingy with it. The disappointing parts were the bathroom and the electrical fixtures. The bathroom did not have proper drainage so every time after a bath I would find myself standing in a puddle. The faucet and drain plug of the bathtub were broken when I first used them but these were fixed by the staff. Some of the lights in the room did not function properly and the button switches were flimsy. The housekeeping staff does not care if you are in the room. If the do not disturb sign has not been turned on they will enter your room. The breakfast spread good and had a decent number of choices across Indian and Continental. However, on two occasions the staff did manage to give my table away to other customers while I was perusing through the buffet selections. But on other days they did make up for it by going out of their way to help me. The strengths of this hotel though lie in its front desk, bar, and driving staff. Ayush at the Mix Bar shook up some great drink for me and my guests. Gautam and Kulbir from the front desk were warm and went out of there way to assist me during check-out. Parshuram who drove me to the airport was warm and attentive and made sure that I did not leave behind my belongings. The hotel has the potential be better. I am not sure if the shortcomings were because of the pandemic or just plain oversight. Some of the staff members are phenomenal whereas others could do with a bit of training. By paying heed to the customers feedback and bringing some changes it definitely can reach its...
