Prego — Restaurant in Gurugram District

It was my Husband's birthday and I wanted to take him out for a meal. He wanted to have Italian and we decided to go to Prego at The Westin, Gurgaon. It was a disaster. We were given a table at the back even when the restaurant was mostly empty. We requested to change the table and were offered a middle table but wanted a secluded table because we were with our 2 year old and didn't want to disturb the other guests. We requested staff member Neetu who was supposed to serve us for the night. She said "you can see the available tables and decide which one do you want", to be precise her words were " Sir aapko dikh rahi hongi khaali tables, aap dekhlo aapko kaunsi table chahiye". We chose a table however, she didn't even bother to set the table for us before we sat there, or even after we sat there. Normally when people arrive at Prego, they are served with a bread platter and a dip, but we didn't get that. There were no napkins, no mats, no glasses for water etc. We requested her to suggest a starter as we wanted to eat something different suggested by them but they failed to suggest us a good starter and we decided to choose our meal ourselves. Finally before starting our meal, I had to look for people who can help me with napkins. I decided to speak to the captain myself on such a ruthless behaviour. We were not having a free meal or didn't make any booking through any app that provides huge discounts to such places because I wanted to get the best service possible on my husband's birthday however Prego failed to meet the expectation. Only after complaining to the executive, he called the manager and manager apologized and insisted us to accept the discount and a complimentary cake.. But I didn't want anything complimentary and refused it. They should have treated us just like other guests in first place as we were paying for the services and gestures a five star hotel can offer. P.S: I am not writing this review to get any further discounted means or coupons or anything.. I just hope that this feedback helps them to improve...

I came to India after 11 years, and my relatives took me here for dinner. I’ve never had a more disappointing dining experience in my life — and I’ve never felt the need to leave a bad review for any business until now.

First, there was a full-on office presentation happening in the restaurant — giant TV screen, loud talking — with zero regard for other customers trying to enjoy a meal.

Then, the waitress somehow mistook my order for calamari and brought carbonara instead, thinking they were the same thing.

In the two hours we were there, not a single waiter came by to refill our glasses of water.

At the end, the manager came over to apologise, offered a free dessert, gave us his card, and invited us for lunch again. But here’s the thing — the solution to every problem here seems to be an apology and a business card. How about actually fixing your restaurant instead?

We even ordered separate dishes tailored to each person’s preferences and allergies — yet the waiters still served everything to everyone like it was a communal buffet.

Overall, the experience was chaotic, careless, and completely unacceptable & 11000 INR down the drain.

Please stop calling yourself...
