⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Blissful Escape into the Woods – Perfect for Family Getaways! We stayed at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala for 4 nights with family, and it was truly a rejuvenating experience. Tucked away amidst tall deodar trees , this property is a peaceful gem—beautifully secluded yet just a short drive from Dharamshala and McLeodganj. While approaching the resort, keep an eye out near the famous St. John in the Wilderness Church—there’s a quiet turn that leads you to this serene haven. The resort itself is wrapped in natural beauty, with vibrant flowers dotting the landscape and a tranquil charm that instantly soothes your senses. The heated indoor pool was an absolute delight, especially for the kids—and a much-needed refreshment after long days. The evening high tea had a generous spread (though tea lovers like us found the tea itself a bit underwhelming). Breakfast buffet was impressive with a variety of fresh options and live counters that never disappointed. What truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the staff—from housekeeping to activity coordinators, everyone adds to the welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of resort-led activities for both kids and adults—so much so that you can spend your days here without feeling the need to step out. Our favorite? The morning nature walk. It’s a magical experience—calm, scenic, and grounding. Highly recommended! Though the in-room dining menu isn’t very extensive, the chefs are more than happy to customize dishes to your taste, which is a thoughtful touch. One day, we even booked a cab through the resort to explore the local sights, and the experience was smooth and enjoyable. The view from the room windows every morning was like waking up inside a postcard—misty trees, gentle sunlight, and complete silence. And yes, complimentary hot water bags on chilly nights? A lovely, thoughtful touch that made us smile. Overall, this was a soulful, luxurious retreat—we came back relaxed and with memories we’ll cherish. We’re already planning our next visit!

If you're looking for the best staycation experience ever, this is THE place to be! We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days and loved everything about this place. The hospitality is top notch! Everyone here greets you with a warm smile and they're there to help you out with anything you need. The staff is well spoken and polite. The food was DELICIOUS. We opted for half board and enjoyed feasting on the lavish breakfast and dinner buffet. Their desserts were to die for! They arranged for complimentary evening tea and snacks daily. The weather was pleasant even during the ongoing heat wave in India. The place was surrounded by lush greenery and tall deodar trees. The cleanliness maintained in the rooms and the hotel was impeccable. The indoor swimming pool and the gym were well maintained. They had a separate play area for the kids where even my 13 month old baby enjoyed playing. They had plenty of activities for kids as well as adults. We didn't feel like leaving the property and going out for sightseeing to be honest as we thoroughly enjoyed being in the property itself. The only con was the last 1-2 kms drive uphill to reach Hyatt Regency as the road was a bit steep and narrow. But as they say- it's the difficult roads that lead to beautiful destinations. So the drive was worth it! They also provided us with complimentary shuttle service to Mcleodganj market/square. Overall, everything about our staycation was perfect. I'm looking forward to my next visit to this place!

I want to express my sincere compliments and gratitude to the Hyatt Regency team at Dharamshala. After an eight-night stay at this peaceful resort, I left feeling deeply impressed by the exceptionally high standards the team maintains — far exceeding what I’ve come to expect, even from five-star hotels. Their clear commitment to providing a superior guest experience is rare and truly stood out.

From the moment I arrived and was welcomed by Anshu — who kindly showed me multiple rooms to accommodate a specific request — to my final goodbyes, I felt a genuine warmth from the entire team. The front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and management teams all contributed to an experience that exceeded my expectations.

I would especially like to thank: • Vishal — no doubt a future star and leader in the hospitality industry. • Prem, Saurabh, and Haspreet — who served me most days in the restaurant. Your attentive care touched me deeply — thank you. • Head chefs Pankaj and Prakash — although I didn’t make any special requests, I appreciated your daily check-ins, your warm conversations, and your evident pride in delivering an excellent culinary experience. • Saurabh and Anshu at the front desk — for their thoughtful support throughout my stay. • Housekeeping managers Ajit and Sunil — I’m only sorry I didn’t catch the names of the team members who cleaned my room so meticulously each day.

Truthfully, there were many more team members who contributed to my wonderful experience — the entire team deserves recognition.

Several thoughtful touches stood out: hot water bottles in the evening, my mess of cables neatly organised each day by housekeeping, a beautiful card and local sweets to celebrate Holi, and other lovely, meaningful gifts. These gestures made my stay feel especially memorable.

Of course, the stay wasn’t without a few small hiccups — but what impressed me most was how constructively my feedback was received. The team genuinely welcomed feedback, not as criticism but as an opportunity for growth. I felt reassured that where small improvements were needed, the staff wouldn’t be punished or criticised — something I can’t say about every hotel I’ve visited. This constructive and supportive approach left me even more confident in the hotel’s commitment to excellence.

Although I haven’t often stayed in Hyatt properties, this experience has convinced me to seek them out more often. If the values I witnessed here are truly part of Hyatt’s culture, they stand out in an industry where stated values often fail to translate into meaningful guest experiences. The Hyatt Dharamshala team are truly exceptional ambassadors of the Hyatt brand.

The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from both McLeod Ganj and Dharamkot. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with intuitive lighting and practical amenities. I appreciated the 24/7 gym, which I used regularly.

Breakfast was a highlight — an excellent, varied spread with plenty of made-to-order options, especially for vegetarians. I also enjoyed a couple of buffet dinners, which were equally satisfying. While I felt the room service offering had some room for improvement, I shared my feedback and have every confidence the team will address it swiftly.

All in all, an excellent stay — and a hotel I look forward to returning to...

I have been staying in Deodar villa during covid lockdowns since September, 2021 till September 2023. I booked a room directly at the place. It was a simple non isolated downfloor studio with kitchen, with broken old windows and big garbage storage near back wall. We agreed with the owner in presence of my Indian friend that if I will stay for 1-2 months only, the price will be 15 000 Rs all included. Even it was the worst room available at the moment, I agreed to try this suggestion for 1 month as I did not expect to stay in India for so long time. The owner said that 2 times bigger 2-room apartments he offers for Tibetan language foreign students and Tibetan families for 7-10 thousand of Rs only per a month if their long stay 1 year, at least. So, my friend agreed that if I will stay longer than 1-2 months too, the price for my 1 bed studio at laundry level will be also cheaper like for other long stayers.||But in fact, when the new wave of covid Omicron happened, I extended automatically my stay in this poor room – because there was still no way out from India at all. I was surprised then that the owner and staff asked me to pay before my departure for 2-years room rental agreement the same 15 000 Rs monthly price like estimated for short stay of 1 month only. ||I was delaying all the overcharging payments until foreign tourists will be able to travel again to Mcleod Ganj, and flights away to necessary destinations are fully available with no travel restrictions. These guys have been benefited from my wallet of stranded female foreign tourist in total the respective amount of 210 000 Rs – they thereby got a large total amount of profit during covid lockdowns with no tourists at all and low seasons. That was high profitable for them to have someone paying so long time for worse small studio downstairs with no any renovation of the walls and equipment for 2 years. ||But they behaved greedy and non grateful for those clients who was provided them totally with 210 000 Rs during no tourists years! Most of their rooms were staying empty all these years as no demand at all – but they pressured the rest of long staying clients to pay more and more, including me, a stranded foreigner who was just long time awaiting when it will be possible to travel the same free like before covid pandemic lockdowns worldwide! ||Of course, Indian taxi drivers and some rental business and sellers are famous for use of wild style scam, tourist abuse and overpricing schemes. Especially, if they know that the tourist can not get out easy from the place due to any travel limitations. ||So, during global economic crisis I would recommend to any other foreign tourists to avoid unfriendly and greedy room suppliers, definitely. Otherwise, customers will be only loosing the money for a bad quality of service. In addition, when the agreed amount paid in full, customers might be listening a crazy chutzpah about how room seller is unsatisfied to get benefited for 2 lakhs only during low demand times - because he expected to get for the old dirty downstairs room with not repaired windows and 1 bed sheet change per a month an incredible price and balance debts of 1 million dollars to be paid, at least. I got troubled with that...

Dear Mr. Vishal and the Exceptional Team at Hyatt McLeod Ganj, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the truly remarkable experience I had during my three-night stay at Hyatt McLeod Ganj. From the moment I arrived, your team’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made my time here unforgettable. Every staff member—from the front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, to the spa—exuded hospitality that went far beyond my expectations, and I am profoundly grateful for the countless small gestures that made me feel so valued and cared for throughout my stay. To Mr. Vishal, your leadership is nothing short of extraordinary. Your ability to create an environment where every guest feels special is truly inspiring, and I am so thankful for your personal attention and kindness. You and your team are a testament to what world-class hospitality looks like. During my stay, I experienced an unfortunate accident while walking in Dharamkot, outside the hotel premises and entirely unrelated to the property. In that moment of distress, when I was badly injured and reached out for help, your team responded with unparalleled compassion and efficiency. The way you cared for me felt like I was being looked after by family, turning a challenging situation into one filled with gratitude. Your support showcased the very best of humanity and service, and I will forever be thankful for your kindness. Hyatt McLeod Ganj is a gem, perfectly nestled amidst the serene cedar forests, offering a peaceful retreat that feels both luxurious and close to nature. I am so happy I chose your property, as there is no other in McLeod Ganj that compares to its beauty and charm. Its prime location, close to all the attractions, made exploring the area effortless, while the stunning surroundings provided a sense of calm and joy. Additionally, the property is absolutely wonderful for families, with a fantastic range of activities for kids that kept the younger guests engaged and delighted. This thoughtful offering made the experience even more special and memorable for families like mine. The front office team welcomed me with warmth and made every interaction seamless. The food and beverage team delighted me with exceptional meals, each served with genuine smiles that brightened my day. The spa team provided moments of relaxation that soothed both body and soul, and the housekeeping staff ensured my stay was comfortable and impeccable with their meticulous care. Beyond these, it was the countless small gestures—each thoughtful act, warm smile, and kind word—that made me feel so grateful to the entire staff. Hyatt McLeod Ganj is more than a hotel—it’s a sanctuary of warmth, beauty, and unparalleled service. My three-night stay was nothing short of magical, and I am already looking forward to returning. I will wholeheartedly recommend your property to everyone I know, as it is truly the best in the region, especially for families seeking a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. Thank you, Mr. Vishal, and every member of your incredible team, for making my stay so extraordinary. Your kindness and dedication have left a lasting impression on my heart. With immense...
