In short, this hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and overhyped. I stayed in a regular room for three days and it has been, for the most part an unpleasant experience. Here's why:
First, the positives: comfortable bed. The hotel surroundings are surprisingly pleasant for a hotel in Hitech City.
My experience started with the front desk person asking me to come later in the day for a pool side room. A pool side room was booked ahead of time and I found out at the front desk that it was no longer available and I could come back later to perhaps get one. It happens-I'll come back and get my preferred room is what I thought. Came back to the front desk in the evening to find out that there was painting/construction going on the pool side rooms and the rooms were closed off. "Why didn't you tell me this in the morning?“ with mild annoyance in my tone. The front desk person pointed me to a flyer lying on the desk, with a notice that pool side rooms were unavailable for the dates I was staying in the hotel. Confidently, the associate said, there must be a copy in your room as well. Nothing like a we-told-you-so response as a customer service comeback stoking some buyers remorse, to make one irate. Looking at the customer service with the price of the room, I chose not to upgrade. I let go and decided to settle with the room I had. One more kicker, the associate said that there was a party going on pool side until midnight. Was he trying to say that he was saving me from a restless night, is what I thought. At the point, I decided to give up arguing with them and chose to go to my room. I'll rest up and may be have some good food.
First night. We went to a Spanish themed restaurant. As we were walking, we had to pass through a thick cloud of smoke. (the one created by burning coal) No kidding, they were trying to create fumes as you get from using dry ice, by burning coal. As the smoke cleared we walked into a restaurant that was unlocked for us. No Thank you. I was not going to be the only one eating in this restaurant. We went to Food Exchange. The food there was reasonable, drinks were poorly made, and the service had certain amount of nervous energy about it. Fast paced, but poorly managed. There was a theme emerging here. Poorly managed.

I have stayed across most prominent properties in Hyderabad and this one is something I am definitely going to stay away from.
Why I booked here? This was a mistake from my end and one I would regret further after the stay. I had planned my stay at Novotel airport but ended up booking the stay here by mistake. Not just the distance between the properties but the overall feel and experience was also poles apart.
What disappointed me: 👎 charging full fee on card even before checking in or even without calling. I had points to cover over 20 nights and I did not even have the option for mode of payment.
👎 I reached post 12 AM and the only thing I wanted was a good nights sleep. Specially considering the early start. First the card key given did not work in the elevator. Next i went till my room and it did not open the room. There was no staff on the floor and the ones I ran into refused to help for ‘security reasons’ . The common phone lines were dead as well in the floor. Went all the way to reception again and a staff came along and let me in with the master key. So basically I was going to be stuck in a room with a card which would not open the door if I was to step out.
👎 After all of this I finally enter the room to find stained sofas and when I finally hit the bed, notice some insects or bugs on the mattress (refer video). I was too exhausted to do anything about it.
👎 I was hoping the breakfast would be the saving grace for what was otherwise a terrible experience. But it just made it worse. The chicken dimsum, a not so common dish for breakfast was the only highlight. Guess I was lucky to find it as nobody wanted it. The 15 minutes I was there, most main courses remained empty - peanut poha, poori, etc. The dosa I ordered never arrived as well.
Never had a worser experience in recent times and not when I had paid over 12k for a night. This was a complete waste of money and a property I would recommend you to stay away from unless you are here for an event and don’t...
Read moreHi, In last 2days, I have faced one of the worst experience with Novotel. First: I had booked for 2 nights stay, Check-in date 6July, check-out date 8July. I had mentioned in advance / before check-in that I will require an extra bed as we are 2 adults & 2 kids , which was not provided. Next day i. e. on 7 June, due to a family emergency, we did check-out on 7June,at 9am. At front desk I requested to credit our 1 night complimentary stay in my account, for which the front desk had said to put in an email to india@accorplus.com , which i did later on.
Now that things where normal at my home, i had made a plan to visit again to Novotel, this time 2 rooms, 1 room against weekend gateway coupon and another against 50% room off .
I had contacted the duty manager, which is you , and after your reply i had contacted the incharge person duty manager. After telephonic conversation, he told me that confirmation will be send in 30mins. I waited for 2hours, I did not receive any reservation confirmation. Finally I decided to visit the hotel, and then speak to front desk about room availability/reservation, with my family , 4 adults, 2 kids. After many confusions about redemption of coupon , finally front desk had provided me 2 rooms. His answer was (we will reply in 24 hrs) . For a booking whose checkin is next 1,2hrs, they'll reply in 24hrs.
3 hrs we had to wait for our room/confirmation.
Upon allotment of room, room no. 434 was smelling bad. Now that I had respectable guest in room. 434, they initially did not complain anything about the bad smell. But later on some how, I came to know about the issue during our check out time i.e. on 8June, so I immediately called the House Keeping and complained the same. Eventually it was a check-out time,so no action was initiated.
