Read moreLarge, well designed store with expected merchandise from Fab India. All categories well represented. However, being an old customer from early '90s Delhi , would say that FabIndia was a wee bit more experimental earlier , particularly in women's clothes - eg. the jodhpur salwar/ churidar which no one else knows about. You need a section that says 'offbeat '. Everything can't be like a factory assembly. Also, how about ethnic printed tights ? Tie and dye t-shirts ? If you can do tights , you can do this too. Ethnic printed boots ? Do a 'boots/scarf/ hat' mannequin corner and see the buzz ! Like I said , have a section that says ' offbeat exotic ethnic ' and try out a corner. That corner can have new ideas every quarter. Little more excitement needed in women's section for sure. On the positive side, men's section has many new arrivals - the slim fit kurtas , the full sleeved khadi jackets etc are very nice.
Fab cafe : Full marks for taste and flavorful food. Talented chef for sure. The pav bhaji is a winner with the multi grain pav. Almost anything is very well made. Only crib is portion size - needs to be larger ? Else, feel like one is eating like a bird ! (( Pls keep loo wash basin and its corners spanking clean - needs looking at - imp in a restaurant . Same comment for store washrooms too.)) Hope to see some more exciting merchandise in women's...
Read moreWe had the worst experience today, eating at the Fab Cafe in the Gachibowli store! IThere was a stale pudina chutney which was served along with the sandwich. It actually had the smell or garbage. When we complained, the cook quickly said that it wasn't he who sent this to the table and that it was someone else. We requested to meet the Store Manager and were told she was at lunch! After we insisted we meet the person, the Assistant Manager appeared. He admitted that it smelt stale and wasn't fit to be eaten...but went on to say that we would not have to pay for the lunch and that the cook would pay the amount!!!!! We, of course, did not want the cook to have to pay for it and settled the bill ourselves
Throughout all this and the ten minutes we were at the store, after the lunch, the Manager did not make an appearance. She did not bother to meet us and extend even an apology.
I am appalled at the attitude and indifference of the staff...this is not what I would have expected from a brand like Fabindia...
As expected, one of us isnt feeling very well after the meal....have no idea what else we ate...
