On the first day itself we found out that this hotel discriminates between normal guests and VIP's / celebrities. This is an unspoken rule but as a commoner I understand it. Their "at your service" team never answered our calls even after 7 to 8 rings, which was not expected from a "Five Star Marriott Property ". On 26th March when we entered the "Indore Restaurant" for the breakfast buffet there was no place to sit, the restaurant's staff was running around like headless chickens, without a proper plan of action to handle the guests inflow. It looks like they are not trained to handle a large number of guests. When we finally were able to get our hands on an empty table, my wife politely requested one of the hostesses "Rinky" or "Rinki" "can you please get this table cleaned for us?". The hostess Rinky replied rudely "can't you see we are busy as there are so many guests". We were shocked to hear such a reply but later on we realised that this is how they were trained. Talk to VIP's politely and misbehave with everyone else, that's the norm at Indore Marriott. The upper management staff is self centred and constantly checking on their appearance in the mirror for no reason. The breakfast menu hardly changes, servicing Poha and Jalebi everyday just because it's Indore is no justification. They serve egg curry in the breakfast, which seems a bit strange to me. But most of the menu stays the same.
Our insults were far from over, on 27th we wanted to have an À la carte lunch at the "Indore Restaurant" as we didn't want to order in our room. We entered the "Indore Restaurant" but the host refused to serve us and told us to go back or sit outside in the "54 Prarangan" restaurant. We had no choice so we sat outside, the chairs were uncomfortable and so we requested for back cushions. We ordered our food and started to wait for the same but without any warning and to our shock, the staff started spraying the area with mosquito fog / smoke which we inhaled and had to quickly run inside to avoid further lung damage. On notifying the F&B manager about the situation, he fake apologised and offered us a 30% discount which did not not make up for the past insults and health risks. I shouted at the restaurant staff just to notify them that they were not treating us as guests or humans at some times and suddenly the "at your service" calls started being answered in 3 rings. This made me realise that until I show tantrums, my family and I won't be treated properly at this hotel. Why should I behave in a certain way to get the basic services at this hotel? Why can't you treat non celebrities as humans? Is this too much to ask for?
The swimming pool is small and there is no separate "kids pool". No lifeguard or staff is on duty near the pool most of the time. We had a better experience at "Fairfield by Marriott" in Goa because of which we decided to stay here, this was a big mistake as this place is subpar in terms of service and staff attitude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would think twice before booking a Marriott property...

Read moreSatisfactory Food and Service Experience at Hotel Marriott Indore
Rating: ★★★☆☆
I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Marriott Indore and wanted to share my thoughts on the food and service provided during my stay. While the overall experience was satisfactory, there were a few areas where improvements could be made.
Let's start with the food. The taste of the dishes served at the hotel was decent. The chefs did a commendable job in preparing a variety of dishes that catered to different palates. The flavors were generally enjoyable, and there were options available for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. However, I must admit that the taste did not stand out as exceptional. It lacked that extra something to truly make it memorable. Nevertheless, the food was of good quality, and the presentation was visually appealing.
Moving on to the service, the staff at Hotel Marriott Indore was friendly and accommodating. They were prompt in attending to guests' needs and were always ready to assist. The service was generally efficient, and the staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and provided recommendations when requested. However, there were instances where the service could have been more attentive. On a couple of occasions, it took longer than expected for orders to be taken, and there were a few minor hiccups with incorrect orders or delayed service. Nonetheless, the staff maintained a professional demeanor and rectified the issues promptly upon being notified.
In terms of ambiance, the restaurant at Hotel Marriott Indore offered a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. The seating arrangements were spacious and well-maintained, creating an inviting environment for dining. The decor was tasteful and contributed to an overall enjoyable dining experience.
It is worth mentioning that the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene was evident throughout the dining area. The staff followed all necessary protocols and ensured a clean and sanitized environment for guests.
Overall, my experience with the food and service at Hotel Marriott Indore was satisfactory. While the taste of the dishes was satisfactory, it didn't leave a lasting impression. The service, although generally efficient, had a few minor lapses that could be improved upon. Nonetheless, the friendly staff, comfortable ambiance, and commitment to cleanliness were commendable aspects of the hotel's offerings.
I would recommend Hotel Marriott Indore for those seeking a comfortable dining experience with decent food options, but it may not be the best choice for those expecting exceptional taste and...
